The Farmer's Table we found this spot on our way home. Food was very good. From what we saw it is from their farm or from other local sources. Fits great in our shop local buy local efforts. If you are looking for something local between Ga***rd and Indian river stop in Wolverine for a bite.

Just as a reminder we will NOT be at the markets this weekend. We got the rare opportunity to camp with all the kids. Seffernick Farms will have our honey on their tables(the 1/2 pints are from last week's extraction at the River & Rail Farm Stop) We will be back next weekend with a warm up stop at the Napoleon Schools Block party on Monday ( 10% of sales will go to the 8th grade trip)

As a reminder we are at Grand River Farmers Market today until 2, at Grow Jackson River & Rail Farmers Market tomorrow 9-2 with an extraction at 11 in conjunction with the market connect program, Sunday we will be at Walker Tavern Farm & Craft Market 10-2. Next week August 21-23 we will be absent from all markets. Seffernick Farms will have our 1/2 pints and Pint jars at their site.

Here's the view in the tree after removing most of the bees. Notice the amount of wax they've already deposited—they were clearly planning to stay!

A swarm leaves its original hive prepared to establish a new home if it finds a suitable location. We're happy to report these bees seem just as happy with the hive box we provided, complete with some drawn comb to help them get started.

Weather permitting, we'll inspect their new hive on Thursday to see how well they've acclimated and how they're settling into their new home. 🐝
