To Our Naples Reserve Residents,
First, we want to thank all of the residents for the past seven and half years we have served you. We truly appreciate all that has been accomplished during this time. It's interesting to look back on our very first day, November 1st, 2017; we served only 33 guests that day. Compare that with the huge events we have hosted over the past few years, and it's easy to say Naples Reserve has outgrown the small kitchen we have to work with. We are so excited for everyone to enjoy the new kitchen and expanded bar that will begin construction this year.
For those who do not know, two days after the new kitchen and bar were approved, we were informed that there would not be an RFP (Request for proposal) for the new kitchen. First Service will be running the new restaurant, and we will not be a part of the new food and beverage program. Though we were a bit surprised there would not be an opportunity to bid after our long partnership, we do fully support the Board's decision to have your property management company run the new restaurant. First Service is a great fit for Naples Reserve, and we are very impressed with those we have met so far.
We would like to clarify a few points with everyone at this time. We were told that if the new restaurant vote passed, construction would begin in May. We did request to leave earlier, but leaving at the end of April is what had been discussed with the board if the restaurant renovation passed. This was discussed in a meeting at the end of last season in May of 2024.
Also, there are two main reasons for reduced revenue we want to share to ensure everyone has understanding of the situation. In late September 2024, with only days notice, we were informed the pool would be closed for resurfacing repairs. Including the pool pump repairs, this ended up being over two months and greatly affected business. Also, the midge infestation had a huge impact on business. The residents could not enjoy the outdoor facilities, and made enjoying food and beverage at the Tiki Bar unpleasant.
Since the beginning of January, we have gone back to pretty much normal sales for the busy high season. Your Board was crucial for us to navigate the difficult start to the season. We are all extremely appreciative of their help and guidance during this difficult time.
April 27th will be our last day of service. We hope you all take the next few weeks to say farewell to your Latitudes Staff that has served you for nearly eight years. We have all shared a lot together. We have been through hurricanes and pandemics, but also had some of the most fun parties in Naples. Your parties are the envy of many communities in SWFL. Though we will not be a part of the future events, we will be a fan of Naples Reserve, which will always be casually awesome!
Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Frisco's Catering LLC And Your Latitude's Staff
