Deajon brings a wealth of experience, incredible speed, and a true passion for getting food into the hands of our guests. Honestly, he moves through the dining room like a wide receiver running a perfect route. When he’s not running food, Deajon enjoys watching football and dreams of one day playing for his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. He’s also passionate about investing and is always looking for great investment opportunities to share with those closest to him.

Throughout September, we’re raising money in memory of Danny Grimley and in support of the Danny Grimley Foundation. Danny was known for his big heart, kindness, and love for his family and friends. His foundation continues that legacy by supporting individuals and families facing difficult challenges, including depression, anxiety, OCD, suicidal thoughts, and other mental health struggles.

For every Fig Deal cocktail sold throughout September, $1 will be donated to the Danny Grimley Foundation. Help us honor Danny’s memory, support those who are struggling, and remind them that they are never alone.

We had a VAI’s VIP on the patio last night! Many of you may remember Maria, one of our former servers, who came back to celebrate her graduation with her family.

Maria recently earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and will be putting her degree to work at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare in Massillon, Ohio, where she’ll conduct forensic evaluations and provide therapy to patients with severe mental illness involved in the criminal justice system.

There’s nothing better than seeing our VAI’s alumni thriving and accomplishing great things. Congratulations, Maria, and thank you to you and your family for celebrating with us!

In July, our three restaurants came together to raise $1,300 for Cocktails and Caregivers, an incredible organization supporting those battling cancer and the caregivers and families by their side.

This cause is especially meaningful to Kristina Nemetz, who has seen firsthand the impact of cancer on her family. After her husband went through treatment, Kristina became incredibly grateful for the support they received and now works closely with Cocktails and Caregivers to help pay that support forward. She even goes way back with Chef Scott Raiman, having worked alongside him 20 years ago.

We’re proud to support an organization doing so much for so many. Thank you to everyone who helped us make this possible.
