NOW AVAILABLE - Watch the "Rise of the Pizza Man" Documentary. The story behind our new Pizza Man Statue at Little Pops Lisle and our attempt to install this 60 year-old pizza icon. Watch at https://youtu.be/xUKFA4p-h0A
Before social media, giant roadside figures helped put small-town businesses on the map. This is the story of a rare 14-foot Pizza Man statue built in the late 1960s or early 1970s that survived decades of Midwest weather, changing ownership, and near disappearance before being rescued, restored, and given a new home here at Little Pops NY Pizzeria in Lisle, Illinois. Part roadside attraction. Part pizza history. Part Americana. The Rise of the Pizza Man explores how these giant fiberglass figures became beloved landmarks, memory-makers, and symbols of a uniquely American roadside culture that is quickly disappearing. Just another way we're "Bringing Back Memories. Creating New Ones". A documentary short by Stuart Meyer.
