Did you know that Vanilla Beans come from an orchid? It is a tropical climbing vine and is the only orchid known to produce an edible fruit. The production process is labor-intensive, making natural vanilla the second most expensive spice globally after saffron. At P’s & Q’s we make our own vanilla extract using the Aloka Vanilla Beans from Madagascar. That’s what makes our Double Fold Vanilla so delicious!
