Every summer that goes by, we are left in awe of the support. It is hard to describe to those that haven’t worked behind the scenes with us, how much every person that puts in the time with us puts forth so much effort to pull off what we do.

As we pass through the 12th summer season in this location (14th overall), it is amazing the amount of folks who give us a chance to be part of your morning routine, your vacation, your weekend getaway, your lunch break, or your offsite office location.

We are open on Labor Day Monday, but we will be giving our team and us Tuesday-Friday off to just take a breather after this crazy busy summer season. Come and see us tomorrow before you get a 4 day break from us and us from getting up at 4am to get to work.

Cheers to the fall and THANK YOU for keeping us part of your life!

Bobbie, Dave & the entire Waveriders Team (Most pictured and a few missing).

Pictured is the crew, but so many others help us do what we do! From great friends Chris and Deb who are always willing to come help, do a grocery run, wash some dishes, or help clean up at the end of the day. To countless others that have taken out the trash, put menus back on the menu stand, pushed in chairs, directed folks on where to order, pick up food, the list goes on....

It truly takes a village to make us successful, and boy is this community special.

Come on in. We are going to be busy! Order ahead using online ordering or come meet new friends in line! We will be doing our best to keep up and have fun today. Be kind everywhere you go! Most businesses have less staff now going into this weekend with it being one of the busier weekends!

We look forward to feeding, hydrating and giving folks a place to connect. Hope to see you!

Have a safe holiday weekend.

We are not immune to what is hitting the entire OBX business community. Schools have started back (colleges, high school, tech schools) before the tourist crowds have slowed down. Our staffing gets cut in half. Tourism has not slowed. Vacationers are flowing in to get their last summer vacation in.

This brings the hard reality of not just opening our doors, but having enough people to do so without causing bad experiences for customers or running our small crew too hard and not enjoying what we do.

Running a small business has many sides. An important side is supporting our team. The other side is being a place folks look forward to visiting. Sometimes the two sides collide. Every drink, every sandwich, lots of ingredients (tomatoes, avocadoes, meats, cheeses, onions, etc), toppings and sides are prepped by hand and are delivered by a person who cares.

We will be closed Thursday August 20th in light of this. See you Friday-Monday 7am-2pm.

July & August are the busiest months. August feels worse because of a lot less staff. Please be considerate as you dine out and know everyone is doing the best they can in this heat and long busy summer season. We love what we do because of all of our visitors and we hate closing, but it is the right decision for us.

We’re looking for people to join our crew! Love early mornings, a supportive team, and having a dedicated two days off?

We’re looking to fill both part and full time positions for our front and back of house.

We’re open year round, offer competitive wages, and start early- which means you can enjoy your evenings off.
