Fried Calamari is one of the most popular appetizers in America. I'd be willing to bet 90% of it is cheap imported squid. A lot of it comes in pre cut and pre breaded ready to fry as well, we hand cut and bread to order. We have always used domestic product only and continue to support AMERICAN fishermen, their families and the people that rely on them. The Town Dock

Join the Host Chefs - Mac & Jeff Buben at Sea Chef for a one of a kind evening on the docks. Upon arrival you’ll be greeted with a glass of bubbly before boarding one of four different fishing vessels. Once aboard, enjoy hors d’oeuvres inspired by the vessel. You’ll meet the Chef and the Captain and learn about the local seafood that inspired the dish, each fishing vessel, its gear and methods used on the water, and hear a few sea stories too.

When the boat horn sounds, you’ll proceed to your next vessel and continue to taste why local North Carolina seafood is so special.

Once your feet are back on land*, you’ll be seated for a four-course dinner at Sea Chef Dockside Kitchen, curated by Chefs Mac & Jeff Buben, and featuring three guest NC Catch Chef Ambassadors.

Your ticketed experience is all for a good cause - ensuring that North Carolina Seafood stays on the plate today, and for generations to come. All proceeds benefit NC Catch.

Tickets are limited, and on sale now: https://bit.ly/3TkKLWM

*The boats will be docked during the event.

Easy to pass a test when we only use 100% LOCAL or USA Wild Caught product across the board.

Proud to serve local shrimp from Capt. Robby Midgett of Stumpy Point, NC. Brown shrimp just starting!

Outer Banks restaurants faced their second round of shrimp authenticity testing in late June, this time during the busy summer season. In December, on behalf of the Southern Shrimp Alliance, SeaD Consulting surveyed 44 restaurants for fresh wild-caught American shrimp — only 16 restaurants passed that test.

"I guess when we must have tested negative in December when they ran that first round, it just must have been a supply issue. We try our best to get as much local shrimp as we can, as much local seafood as we can," said Arthur Richer, the owner and general manager of Hurricane Mo's in Kitty Hawk.
