While I hate to surrender to defeat, I’m not too proud to do it. I had high expectations for Copper Kettle and gave it my best shot, but unfortunately trying to run a thriving cafe in a rural area has many challenges. In this economy, the cost of overhead, and groceries 😩 it’s near impossible to make a sustainable profit. I would say this has been a difficult decision, but it hasn’t. It’s the only decision. I’ve worked from home for several years and I will be doing that once again. I’ve enjoyed this experience, the memories made and the people I’ve met along the way, but closing our doors is the next step. I apologize if this decision seems abrupt, it’s not, just sooner rather than later, based upon a vacation we have scheduled for next week. I appreciate the support we have received, and will miss so many faces, but I can’t say I’ll miss sweating in a hot commercial kitchen every day 😅 much love to you all ❤️
