Texas Bakehouse began in 2020, during a time that asked all of us to slow down and re-evaluate what really matters. For me, it became a turning point. After years of working in kitchens and learning everything I could from the food industry, I felt a deep pull to create something of my own—something more intentional, more connected, and more honest in the way it was made and shared.
Baking became that space for me. What started as something creative and grounding quickly grew into something much more meaningful: a way to care for people through food. Over time, I realized I wasn’t just baking pastries—I was trying to create small moments of comfort, joy, and connection in people’s everyday lives.
At its core, Texas Bakehouse is about offering this community food that is made well and from the heart. I care deeply about the process behind everything we make, because I believe you can taste intention. That’s why we take the longer, more thoughtful route in everything we do—whether it’s our three-day croissants or the way we approach ingredients. We use high-quality European butter, Barton Springs Mill flour during high production, raise our own eggs, and source seasonal and local fruit whenever possible. These choices aren’t made for convenience—they’re made because they matter to the final product, and to the people eating it.
There’s something meaningful to me about food that isn’t rushed. Food that has time to develop flavor, texture, and character. Food that feels cared for at every step. In a world that often moves quickly and prioritizes convenience, I’ve chosen to move differently, even when it’s harder, because I believe people can feel the difference.
Texas Bakehouse exists because of this community. From the very beginning at the farmers market to where we are now, it has grown because people chose to support something small, local, and made with intention. My hope is that what we make brings more than just something to eat—that it brings comfort, connection, and a reminder that good food still exists, made slowly and with care. 📸 photo credit-
