Such a beautiful day…loved visiting with guests, listening to the birds and watching a gecko clean up powdered sugar on the table. 😜

A busy day, today! Loved seeing some of our regulars from the Naalehu Market come up to visit the farm for the first time! And had so much fun serving our creamy tropical french toast special with this beautiful bread. Excited to hear about plans for re-opening Punalu'u Bake Shop because this is going to be the new fan fave—Kalakoa Sweetbread 🧡

Stop by and try something new! Or enjoy one of your favorites. Look forward to seeing you, tomorrow. 🧡

Still blown away by your generosity, Ka’u. 🧡 You are literally making it possible for us to stay open another day! 🙏 This is probably TMI but people close to us already know the full story. This season has been bittersweet. We worked for years, obtained all the permissions and permits necessary, drained our business funds to finally open our farm cafe 6 weeks before hit…and then got cut off from the world for 1-2 weeks with many still asking for privacy and time to heal. We understand. Our farm is virtually untouched, but so many friends and neighbors and businesses do not have that luxury and need time and many more resources to recover, heal and rebuild. We put our trust in God to provide. He always has and He always will! We sure do have some stories. 😍 Our ability to operate as a farm for so long and even get to this point has been because He has provided my husband with good paying remote work. But his industry is in chaos and he has never been unemployed for so long (since February) in his 26 year career. We may have no idea what the future holds, but we KNOW Who holds us (The Lord God Almighty!) and there is a plan, a future, plenty of hope! As a farm cafe, we were content to simply give and keep on giving until we had nothing left. Truly, it has been an honor to serve, to learn, to grow and a blessing to be a part of this community for however long we get to be. 🥹 We don’t feel that we are owed “success” and we certainly know that success cannot be measured with dollar signs. We have been completely transformed since moving here. But as my husband has joked for years, our farm has been a “non-profit organization” for too long and cannot continue this way forever. We do not know what tomorrow brings…and that is ok. What we do know is the Father’s plans are best. We will re-open again THIS week with our regular business hours (Thursday thru Saturday, 9-2pm) and pray for God’s will to be done. Unsold meals will be donated to individuals in need and anyone in need of a spark of joy, human connection, or prayer in Jesus’ Name, is always welcome to come and enjoy a drink on us… We love you,

To our OUTSTANDING, HARD-WORKING, MUD-SLINGING workers and volunteers—GOD BLESS YOU. Nothing less than the highest and best for you! The clean-up from is not done, but praying we all keep standing strong…our town is beginning to look and feel halfway normal, much thanks to you, so I hope you will stop by ACE beginning at 7am and let this community thank you in a small way with a cuppa and a treat. Thank you, so much ʻO Kaʻū Kākou & Wayne Kawachi for sponsoring us and allowing us to serve our workers and volunteers tomorrow (Labor Day Monday) Big Mahalos to Rusty's Hawaiian and Elepoki Coffee for your generous donation of roasted coffee!!! And last but definitely not least, Sungazer Rising, Handmade Jewelry by Geneveve you’re the best, and I appreciate you chipping in the cooler space, gas, time AND donation of our organic creams on your Costco run this week! Everyone, together:

Hey guys! Sorry we’ve been really bad at communicating. Just living day to day, in the moment really post- . Some days we feel fine. Others days, the heaviness is real. 🧡 We have so much to be thankful for. But grief is a crazy thing. We’ve been down at the hub a few days this past week. Serving up Frozen Hot Chocolates for the keiki especially but everybody’s welcome! Vanilla frappes and fresh roasted and brewed ice/hot coffee, too. And today was sweet—we were gifted two bags of mix to make blended Thai Teas! Soooo ono! And very soon Rusty's Hawaiian gonna deliver some coffee for us to brew up and serve! We are blessed with solar power, generator, and fresh water and it’s a privilege to serve. Thank you everybody. It does our hearts so good to be out here with our amazing community working together to take care of one another. 🧡
