THANK YOU & GOODBYE: Dearest Guests, Friends, and NY Pizza Family,

This is the post we've been dreading--our official goodbye to you all.

A month or so ago, we shared the sad news--that after almost two decades of serving your favorite slice--we are closing our doors permanently. Like many other small, family-run businesses, our lease was not renewed. While our situation was not unique, please know that we left no stone unturned in trying to find a solution. In the end, the Mom and Pops behind this Mom-and-Pops-Shop are in serious need of rest and will not be opening New York Pizza and Deli in another location. The time has come to finally retire!

We want to thank you for what's been an incredible journey. You have kept our business alive through an economic crisis, a Bored Pandaemic, hurricanes, and so much more. You've seen our daughters grow from being the tiny little humans serving you pizza to confident, accomplished young ladies. Many of you are more than just loyal guests--you're family--and we would look forward to a mini family reunion every time you visited our shop. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for your loyalty and patronage. It has been the greatest honor of our life to serve you.

We wish you all well, and will carry you in our hearts forever.

As many of you may have heard, we are closing our doors at the end of September 2023. We want to say a big thank you from our family for supporting our small business for the last 15+ years. Part time food service worker needed.

Wednesday-Monday 6 pm-11 pm

Responsibilities:

Preparing pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings, such as tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meats.
Preparing various sandwiches, wings, and salads on the menu.
Monitoring the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times.
Preparing high-quality pizzas according to company recipes.
Monitoring inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed.
Cleaning workstations before pizza preparation.
Ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before each use.
Plating or packaging pizzas accordingly.
Managing all food order slips and ensuring that customers’ orders are completed in a timely manner.
Disposing of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.
Pizza Maker Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.
A food handler’s license is preferred.
Proven food preparation and food handling experience.
Working knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
The ability to follow standardized recipes.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional customer service skills.
COVID-19 precautions
Personal protective equipment provided or required
Plastic shield at work stations
Social distancing guidelines in place
Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
All customers required to wear a mask, outdoor seating is encouraged

Hi, NY Pizza Guests, Friends, and Family,

We are so thankful for your continued support throughout the years--and especially after the difficult 2020 we all had. We just want to take a moment to thank our loyal guest and ask that you be patient with us.

We are currently extremely short staffed (we're a mom and pops shop-- that is literally being staffed only by Mom and Pop at the moment). We are doing our best to get to your orders and make sure everyone is served....but please be kind. Sometimes we will have to close a little early. Sometimes we will run out of items or won't have them if our vendor is out (they are short staffed, too!). Sometimes it might take a little longer to get your pizza ready. For those of you that have been patient and loyal--THANK YOU--it means the world to us. Lastly, if you or anyone you know is looking for a job, give us a call at 843-497-5900!

NY Pizza Friends, Family, and Loyal Guests,

A few updates as we approach Christmas and New Years holidays:

--We're still OPEN! Stop by for takeout or grab a quick bite outside on our patio. Give us a call at 843-497-5900 or stop by the Dunes Plaza (67th Ave N & Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach) to place an order.

--During the Off-Season (late Nov-end of Feb), we are closed on Tuesdays. We remain open from 1-10 PM every other day of the week.

--We will be CLOSED from Wednesday, December 23 through Monday, December 28 for the Christmas holiday. We will reopen at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 29 (even though it’s a Tuesday, we’ll be open).

--We will be OPEN for normal business hours (1-10 PM) on New Years Eve and New Years Day.
