Como muchos saben, empecé este negocio durante mi proceso con la leucemia. Ya han pasado 4 años desde mi diagnóstico, con varios tratamientos, 2 trasplantes de células madre y 1 trasplante de médula ósea.

El año pasado tuve que parar nuevamente después de una recaída. Mientras recibía tratamiento en MUSC, me dijeron que tenía muy pocas opciones y que no era candidata para otro trasplante de médula ósea. Decidí buscar otra opinión y gracias a MD Anderson y Duke Children’s Hospital, tuve otra oportunidad y pude recibir un trasplante de médula ósea. Hoy tengo 6 meses después del trasplante.

Aún no estoy lista para regresar a tiempo completo, especialmente por estar inmunocomprometida, pero poco a poco quiero volver a hacer lo que amo.

Por ahora, estoy ofreciendo servicios limitados de meal prep, cenas privadas y catering.

As many of you know, I started this business while going through my leukemia journey. It’s been 4 years since my diagnosis, including multiple treatments, 2 stem cell transplants, and a bone marrow transplant.

Last year, I had to stop again after a relapse. While receiving treatment at MUSC, I was told I had very limited options and was not a candidate for another bone marrow transplant. I decided to seek another opinion, and thanks to MD Anderson and Duke Children’s Hospital, I was given another chance and able to receive a bone marrow transplant. I’m now 6 months post-transplant.

I’m still not ready to return full-time, especially being immunocompromised, but I’m slowly getting back to what I love.

Right now, I’m offering limited meal prep services, private dinners, and catering as I ease back in.

In the meantime, I will attempt to sell 3-4 days of the week, as my medical treatment timeline is currently unknown, and selling would greatly assist with travel/medical expenses related to my bone marrow transplant.

Please be advised that no menu will be posted until further notice. As many are aware, I initiated this endeavor due to my medical condition, seeking a sense of freedom in my life. Regrettably, unforeseen circumstances have led to a relapse of my leukemia. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Hopefully, I will be able to resume sales within a week or so, pending treatment, as I will be out of state. Thank you for your support.

No se publicará ningún menú hasta nuevo aviso, como muchos saben, comencé esto debido a mi condición médica y es una sensación de libertad en mi vida, pero debido a circunstancias imprevistas, mi leucemia ha recaído y me disculpo por la inconveniencia. Espero poder vender en una semana o así, dependiendo del tratamiento, ya que estaré fuera del estado, ¡gracias! Por el apoyo de mi negocio !
