I've received a few messages on why we closed so sudden. Here's a bit of explanation. To start, the new owner has merged the brewery and resturant together to turn it into a bar with a kitchen that is only 21 and up. We were a family owned, family friendly reaturant on our side and we were no longer able to have our 16 and 19 year old work there, we've also had to turn away many families and teens that were regular customers, which dropped our sales 50%.
2nd. The new owner was going to raise our rent $1,000 more/month just for using the kitchen area only. We did not have a full kitchen with fryers and hood vent to cook anything it was basically a concession kitchen and no personal dining room for our customers which is not worth the rent he wanted to charge us. We were not able to operate for lunch unless we paid more rent for that current week as well. It just wouldn't work out when I paid to rent the resturant side, then it was all taken except for the kitchen. 3rd. There was no respect for my clean and sanitized kitchen, it was accessed often when we wernt there and I did not feel comfortable with that.. It was Never the bartenders, they were the most respectful and showed the most appreciation to us. We loved the staff and respected them as they respected us.
With those few things we made the decision that it just was not the right place for our family business. Thank you to all who have supported us during the time we were there and hope to still have your friendship thru our food truck which will be at many local events throughout the year. Thank you again, and bless you all for following us and supporting.
