🍗 Italian chicken breast served with brown rice, green beans and mandarin oranges

Wednesday, August 26
🍔 Hamburger served with hamburger bun, baked beans, broccoli and pears

🌭 Polish sausage served with a hot dog bun, California blend vegetables and applesauce

🍝 Chicken bowtie pasta served with carrot raisin salad, mixed fruit and sweet bread

Wednesday, August 19
🥩 Meatloaf and gravy served with mashed potatoes, Normandy vegetables and peaches

Thursday, August 20
🍗 BBQ chicken breast served with red roasted potatoes, sautéed cabbage and applesauce

Dinner is served buffet style Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 4 - 6 pm. Includes a dinner roll, beverage and petite dessert.

This week's menu:
- Tuesday, August 11 | Cabbage roll served with red skin potatoes, peas and carrots and applesauce
- Wednesday, August 12 | Scalloped potatoes and diced ham served with mixed vegetables, fruit cobbler and diced pears
- Thursday, August 13 | Swedish meatballs served with egg noodles, spinach and pineapple tidbits

Dinner is served buffet style Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 4 - 6 pm. Includes a dinner roll, beverage and petite dessert.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up and shared our volunteer need so far! Your support is helping ensure older adults continue to receive the meals they depend on every day.

We're still in need of Temporary Kitchen Volunteers, especially this coming Monday morning, as well as additional volunteers throughout the remainder of the two week period.

We'll be preparing meals for Meals on Wheels and Lunch & Activity Centers between August 10 – 21, 2026 at our Tanglewood Park kitchen (560 Seminole Rd., Norton Shores). As a Temporary Kitchen Support Volunteer, you'll assist with:
• Assembling meals on the tray line
• Portioning food items
• Packaging meals
• Supporting general kitchen operations

No kitchen experience is necessary. We'll provide a brief orientation and all the guidance you'll need.

Morning shifts are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through August 21. Must be 18+ and pass a background check.

Every meal you help prepare helps ensure an older adult in Oceana, Muskegon and Ottawa counties receives the nutrition they depend on.
