Hey Lakeside! I wanted to give an update for those who’ve wondered what was happening at the corner of Sherman and Leboeuf.
My wife Kate and and I bought this place in the winter of 2021 with hopes of bringing a great coffee and ice cream concept to the lakeshore. However, by summer time things took a turn for the worse in her long battle with cancer. Kate sadly passed away last July. It’s been a tough road since, but it is my goal to eventually continue our dream.
I’d set an optimistic goal of opening by this summer of 2022, but if I’m being honest with myself, it’s probably not going to happen this year. I want to do things right from the get go, both to provide great service and honor the legacy of our shared dream. So, please be patient. 2023 is the more likely timeframe. If things get rolling though, late summer 2022 could still happen. 🤞
