Hello followers of Avenue Subs. I wanted to reach out to say that I know Avenue Subs closed in a way that no one wanted or intended. Especially the Avenue Subs Crew and I. After looking to open in other places and trying to find people to fix the building, the attempt came to a close. I accepted that it wasn't going to be. Time to move on.
Well I am here to say that I have been in contact with a local entrepreneur that wants to reopen the sub shop. They want to make it just the way we left it. Mary and I have entrusted these people with our thoughts and dreams of what we started and for them to carry on. Avenue Subs will start a new chapter with the same excitement and energy as when we first opened. They have asked me to help out in the beginning to make a smooth transition. I hope that you will show the same enthusiasm you have had since we opened in 2010 and the excitement you have generated through the most recent posts. Thank you for your support and get ready to roll up your sleeves and eat again!!!! -Brad Kisner

TODAY at 10am until 2pm you will be able to get your last Avenue Sub in the third room of the Missipi Brew. We are doing a one time pop-up. All sandwiches are going to be littles and made with sweet french bread and will cost $8 including tax. We will be doing all of the sandwiches on the menu, EXCEPT Avenues(mashed potatoes, pot roast and gravy) and Mulberrys(hot chicken with bacon). Orchards will be available, but only a limited amount. Due to availability, we are putting a limit of four sandwiches per customer. We will not be accepting any gift certificates for this event. For those of you that have some gift certificates, stay tuned the Brew will be honoring them soon. We will not have a phone available so walk-ins only. NO deliveries NO call ahead orders. We are excited to do this and can't wait to see everyone 😊😊

We also have some baked goods by a couple of the Muskie Senior Survivor participants, Lucy Hoag and Raul Madrigal, raising money for Kids First Fund.

Hello, this is Brad Kisner, owner/operator of Avenue Subs. Today was a day that we knew would come sooner or later. We just thought it would come a different way. With so many unknowns with the building and added cost to open in a different location. Has led us to make this announcement. Avenue Subs is going to remain closed. We say this with a heavy heart. It has been a part of our lives for 13 years and we will miss it.
Mary and I want to say thank you to every single customer that has come through our doors. It was a pleasure to serve and to have conversations with each and everyone of you. To all of the employees that have worked at Avenue Subs, from the first hire Cameron, to the last person hired, Rebekah. Thank you. I was and am, proud to have had you a part of our team. I wish you all the best in the future. To my family, thank you for your unwavering support. You are the best!! Last but not least, my wife, Mary. You gave me support and you trusted me when I wanted to start this crazy idea of a sub shop. Thank you for your help and encouragement. You have been a trooper through this whole endeavor and I love you!!

If you have missed yourself some Avenue Subs, well this Saturday is your chance to get your fill. We will be in the Missipi Brew food truck in their beer garden. We will start at 8:00am and we will be serving our little sandwiches until we run out of bread. We are limiting our menu to the cold cut sandwiches. Sorry we couldn't offer up the whole menu.
