This past weekend, we lost one of the most genuine hearted, best grandmothers anyone could ask for. Our Nan was a great grandmother of 11, a grandmother of 7, and an adopted grandmother of another 16 employees who had the pleasure of knowing her inside the pizzeria. She moved down to South Carolina from New Jersey 3 1/2 years ago and immediately had an impact on our family. From helping our kids get ready for school, to making sure they had breakfast, to bouncing around the house in her “Danny’s” t shirt ready to get to work. She didn’t need to work, but loved being inside that pizzeria. Loved the customers, who some became her closest friends, loved the employees and just loved hanging out and making conversation. When you all came in, even for just a slice, there was a good chance you saw a little old lady rolling silverware, folding menus, or leaning on the counter just smiling and waiting to say hello. Nan became a staple in this place and she will be greatly missed. So next time you walk in, look to the booth on the right and you will see a picture of Nan, still smiling at us, right where she wants and loved to be. 89 years old is a long great life. We are grateful that her last 3 1/2 years were spent everyday with us. Thank You Nan. We Love You❤️
