I’m just an ordinary guy not capable of miracles and not worthy of a spotlight on me.
A few years ago, someone challenged me to do something truly great: help advance God’s Kingdom. As an entrepreneur, I’m used to dreaming big. Big dreams have led me to some amazing places, even if I haven’t reached every goal. They’ve still carried me farther than small thinking ever could.
Later, I stepped into our church’s food ministry. We’ve hit walls, faced exhaustion, and celebrated small wins. I don’t always know if we’re making a difference or what the future holds. But we keep showing up, giving our best even when we’re tired and frustrated, because we do it all for the Lord (Colossians 3:23–24).
When I read about Jesus feeding the 5,000 (Matthew 14), I used to think I needed to miraculously feed thousands. Now I see it differently. We’re not called to be the miracle-worker but we’re called to be faithful with what’s in our hands.
Like the boy who offered his lunch, I can bring what I have: a little effort, some fish, and some bread. I can prepare meals, show up, and love people. The rest? That’s where Jesus steps in and multiplies.
So, let’s keep serving with everything we’ve got. Let’s feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, model Christ’s love, and live out real hope. Let’s faithfully fill the basket and trust the One who turns little into abundance to do the miracle.
Right now, in our Sunday studies, Jeff (our minister) is teaching powerful lessons on discipleship, and it’s lifting us up. This Wednesday, we’re preparing another meal with care and love. We’d be thrilled if you’d join us so come share the table or help us reach people beyond our doors with some big ideas.
We have bread and living water that satisfies forever (John 4:13–14; 6:35). When we offer what we can in faith, God does the impossible.
Who’s with us? Come hungry whether it be for food, for fellowship, or more importantly for more of Jesus. You’re welcome here.
