Read booking FAQ at beherenowmusic.com and send us an email! Muncie's home for live music, BHN featured live music 3-4 nights per week for the last decade! Unfortunately Covid struck our Comedy, Open Mic and Trivia other nights and we are now only open Thurs/Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Located in the heart of Ball State's "Village" area, BHN is the cultural hearth of the music loving BSU community. Me

et new friends, enjoy great craft brews and top shelf liquor, some of the best music the Midwest has to offer all in a unique and laid back atmosphere at Be Here Now! Be Here Now has been historically operated by lovely (& BROKE!) artists and musicians! These cats have kept the doors open. We strive to be one of the most unique and intimate music venues in the Midwest. Be Here Now has been built from the ground up with love; we're a piece of artwork you can enter and participate in! Enjoy a craft brew pint or top shelf drink in our impressive outdoor beer garden or on the front patio. Be Here Now tries hard to be a vehicle for positive change in America's Hometown of Muncie through responsible business practices; boasting a recycling program, a local business advertising wall, low impact responsible energy usage, DIY improvements from reclaimed materials, and we serve as a destination stop on the "underground railroad" for both local and touring musicians! Be Here Now strives to be the change we wish to see in the world! (Muncie, we're trying...) BOOKING INFO:

WE ARE A MUSIC VENUE. You may email [email protected] for booking inquiries. This is the ONLY avenue for booking BHN. Be patient, we've been doing this awhile and get many new requests daily. Please be a PROFESSIONAL and read all below before emailing!!!! Some frequently asked questions here:

Things to know when booking:

VENUE:
Is there an age limit?
18+ generally. How many bands would be / required to be on the bill? There is no requirement, we like to build a solid bill and night of music for the fans though so usually 3-4. 9PM-Midnight is our performance time. What equipment is available, what does the band need to provide? BHN has a full PA and soundperson. Band needs to provide their gear yo! Does the venue have designated areas for merch? There are designated merch areas and bands can expect to keep 100% of their sales of course!!! How does payment work? In general... we hope to cover your costs in playing here. Most nights are donation only shows and we need to cover our sound/security costs first. We work hard to provide a place for artists to share their work and are not profiting from your honest endeavors. BHN does not host "entertainment" or cover bands- we pride ourselves on giving touring acts an authentic place to play in the Midwest. We're a top 10 poverty level city and it's an uphill battle doing what we do. You can count on hospitality and to be treated fairly, but unless you are booking a whole night and promoting or have a demonstrated draw we generally will not make financial guarantees. PROMOTION
Do you make / print fliers? We'll print them if you make them, sometimes we design them as well but not for every show. When you do it it makes you look awful cool. Do you do any advertising? Only social media, though we are happy to provide you with a local media list. Are there radio stations you work with regularly? If so, could you provide a contact? WCRD is the Ball State University station. Do you use online ticketing? If so, is there a discount for online sales? Only for our biggest shows. BOOKING (LOCAL?) SUPPORT:
Do I need to confirm with venue our full bill? YES... you are welcome to put out feelers but bill is NOT confirmed until we ok it! Do you have any preferred bands? It's a cyclical scene so you'll have to inquire at any given time! Do you have blacklisted bands? If so, could you provide names? Same deal... we don't "blacklist" but can tell you some have better attitudes than others!!! How do I write a good booking request email? In general we like to help bands with routing needs between larger markets. We're a cool stop but there just isn't a lot of money here and that weighs heavily for us. We want you to have the best experience here so we're always going to keep expectations very low... errr... realistic? So... please let us know:

1) Band Background: where you are from, a website, basic info including links to page, we prefer bandcamp, videos or press is always nice to see...

2) where you're coming from/going to on your run and which dates would work best for you during that time frame. Maybe tell us why something would be good for you and/or how you heard about us.

3) It's pretty much that simple. Hard to understand grammar or evident stupidity will usually be ignored or deleted. We're a dive but we got standards to keep. If you are super hip then add P.S. I read your booking stuff and it was on point. Are we missing anything? You can let us know that too... as long as you're not a dick about it. peace.
