How do you eat your lemon bar?
I wait til its cold, cut and enjoy.
Lately I've added a dollop of whip cream. Got great reviews at the Iris gardens on them.
I just took a pan out of the oven and cut a piece from it to send across the road with someone's lunch. They smelled amazing as I cut into it. And then I thought....
A warm slightly gooey lemony bar topped with cool, whipped cream? That's a taste definitely worth trying.
Lemon bars are still warm, for now, but I can also put it on the grill to warm it back up.
At Union Mills Feed until 5pm this evening.

I'm 2 cups in with coffee so things are looking good. Cookie jar is full and coffee is ready, at least until I drink it. But I'll make more.
At Union Mills Feed until 6pm.

Soup today is Clam Chowder.
Sandwich is pulled pork.
And because it's summertime (despite what weather is doing) I've got summer salads going. $8 for a basic lunch salad. Add meat, Avocado, Egg for additional $.

Pac pride update: Have final approval from city. Getting fire inspection today and then I can get my city business license and take care of all the miscellaneous stuff.
We're only a couple weeks away from being back where I started.

Pac Pride update.
Should get final answer (hopefully approval) from city on Monday. Fire inspection is Friday. Shooting for last part of June to open in town.

Last day at Schreiner's Iris Gardens. Gardens are still gorgeous and it's a beautiful day to take a drive. Tickets are $5 (over 12yo) to get in. If you want to do a long flower day Adelmans Peonies is just a couple miles down the road.
Next Friday & Saturday I'll be at Union Mills Feed for my regular hours/days until I am able to move more permanently to Pac Pride. Ready to get back to where I started.

Nothing brings the day to an end quicker than rain moving in. They just came through and told us we can close up.
June looks to be bringing some changes to my summer plans. For those of you who have been with me since the beginning you know how disappointing it was to have to leave Molalla proper. The city recently redid their food cart ordinances. It's now a workable fee for me to be in town on a more permanent basis.
Ed turned in the paperwork a few weeks ago and we are waiting for city approval. Then I can come back to Pac Pride.
Shooting for later in June as my open date back in Molalla.
Have details like better propane set up, port-a potty and water disposal to get taken care of. Also need to figure out a schedule.
I'll still be at Union Mills Feed on Fridays and Saturdays for the first few weeks of June.
If I've committed to you for events this summer I'm keeping that commitment.
This has been a long wait to come back to town. I'm excited for what's ahead.
More of the thoughts that fill my brain later. I need to wash dishes and go fill a propane tank before I go do some work on the farm. (It's not raining in the hoop houses.)

Just s reminder for everyone this is where I sit for the rest of the month. Will be back at Union Mills on June 5th.
It's Friday so I still have clam chowder and am making a pasta salad. If you're looking for something to do this weekend. Come visit. There is an entry fee, tickets can be purchased online or at the garden.
