NOTIFICATION TOO ALL CUSTOMERS - Due to vastly increased processing fees, The Hitchin' Post no longer accepts any type of credit or debit cards. We realize this may be an inconvenience for some, so we have installed a new ATM that only charges a $2.00 fee, (most, if not all banks will reimbursed your ATM fees when you present them with your receipt showing the ATM fee) AND we always welcome your personal checks for the amount of purchase with NO additional fees! We do apologized for this change in service, but the simple fact is, we are a small business and we simply do not generate enough income for the credit card industry to provide us this service for free. The convenience alone, just for having the credit card machine sitting on our counter was costing $600.00 A month, PLUS a percentage of each transaction! The ATM is the best compromise in order to keep our prices low. We thank you for your understanding.

On May 1st, 2016, ownership and daily operations of The Hitchin' Post were returned to Barry & Betty Pate, the original owners. John, Ursula & Michele Ince decided to retire and plan to move to Washington state so they can be closer to the rest of their immediate family. While we will certainly miss them all, we wish them every happiness as they enter into this next phase of their lives.
