Creativity looked a little different this month …

Instead of gathering around a table, Creators Club headed to some local farms!

We got to slow down, step onto the farm, hear more about the work that happens there, and learn from the people who know it best—all while making a few “market goods” of our own.

One of my favorite things about Creators Club is teaching ladies that creativity isn’t limited to what we traditionally think of as “crafts.” It can be learning how things are grown, made, tended, and created with our own two hands.

This is exactly why I love partnering with local businesses and makers — there are so many creative things happening right in our own communities.

Bass Farms was incredibly generous with their time and knowledge, and we’re so grateful they opened their doors to our group and created such a welcoming, hands-on experience for us.

A huge thank you to Bass Farms for opening up your farm to us, sharing what you do, and giving our women such a fun behind-the-scenes experience. We loved every minute! 🌱

🌧️🚨 WEATHER UPDATE SUNDAY 9.20 🚨🌧️

🌧️We woke up this morning hoping it couldn’t be any worse than yesterday, but unfortunately it was. In the entirety of our business we have never experienced flooding like this. Seeing the grounds like this makes us sick to our stomach. We would be lying if we said it didn’t bother us. One thing I do know is the Bass’ never give up. Farmer Chris may feel defeated right now, but his resilience is stronger. His passion is stronger. His love for his farm and our land is stronger and more powerful than this will ever be.

🚫At this time due to flooding of our grounds our entire attraction area is CLOSED until further notice. This means no hayrides, jump pad, slide, corn maze and the remainder of the games. At this point it is not safe to be near it due to standing water.

🎃What we would really love and appreciate is if you still want to shop for pumpkins, pick out some mums or shop our specialty food store that you would still do so! Or plan to come back another day and enjoy what the farm has to offer, in dryer conditions😄! We are open daily 10 AM-9 PM.

🚗We encourage you to park up by our retail store in the gravel area to avoid getting your car stuck in the mud or tearing up the grassy parking lot.

🎃The fall season is such an important part of our business and to our family, and all this rain has really put a damper on it. We however wouldn’t be here without the support of our family, customers and community, so thank you! Stay tuned for additional updates on when things will be reopened.

🌧️🚨 WEATHER UPDATE SATURDAY 9.19 🚨🌧️

It’s very difficult as a small business to not let all of this rain dampen our mood, but we are still trying to remain in good spirits!

Our grounds are wet, muddy, and flooded in areas, and this is not the fun family fall weekend we wanted for you all to experience.

Please note that our hay rack ride, jump pad, and Farm Frenzy Slide are CLOSED today due to the rain, but you are more than welcome to come and enjoy all the rest of the farm has to offer for FREE. That’s right, no admission will charged today if you want to trek down into the games area.

We encourage you to dress for the weather, muddy grounds, and standing water in rain gear and boots if you choose to join us.

Please come pick out your pumpkins, shop for mums and grab a delicious treat from inside our specialty food store. We are open 10 AM-9 PM.

We encourage you to park up by our retail store in the gravel area to avoid getting your car stuck in the mud or tearing up the grassy parking lot.

As the fall is our busiest time of the year, this rain has truly caused us heartache, but we can’t thank you enough for supporting us year after year.

If the rain isn’t your jam, we encourage you to join us on a dryer day this fall season, which runs through November 1.
