What a turnout, Mount Sterling!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Saturday for the final clear-out of Ben and Joy's. We loved seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones as these items found their way into your homes, kitchens, and businesses.

Together, we raised $243 — and 100% of it is going straight to the Mt. Sterling Ohio Community Association (MSOCA), a group working hard to bring new life to our downtown.

Thank you for your generosity and enthusiasm. This is just the beginning — stay tuned for a formal announcement this September, when we'll be revealing what the revitalization project is and how we plan to best serve and support Mount Sterling.

We can't wait to share what's next as we continue this journey together.

LAST CALL: BEN AND JOY'S COMMUNITY CLEAR-OUT — THIS SATURDAY

Following up on our post — here's everything you need to know before Saturday, all in one place:

WHEN: Saturday, 10am–1pm
WHERE: 35 South London Street, Mount Sterling, Ohio 43143
COST: Free — first come, first served, while supplies last
DONATIONS: 100% of all donations go directly to the Mt. Sterling Ohio Community Association (MSOCA). Cash donations are appreciated, so please bring cash if you'd like to give.

A few quick answers to questions we've been getting:

Items cannot be held, reserved, or set aside ahead of time — everything is available on a first come, first served basis Saturday only.
Please bring your own help and vehicle to load and carry home what you find — we're not able to deliver or store items after the event.

No sign-ups or RSVPs needed — just show up!

This is our last clear-out of the remaining items from Ben and Joy's. Hope to see you Saturday!

LAST CALL: FREE TO GOOD HOMES!

For years, the walls of Ben and Joy's held the sounds of a busy kitchen, the smell of good food, and a whole lot of Mount Sterling memories. As we get the Clock & Boyd building ready for its next chapter, we're doing one last clean-out — we want these items to stay in this community, where they belong.

We have freezers, pots and pans, mugs, registers, tables, and other restaurant equipment — all free to Mount Sterling residents, first come, first served. Come take a piece of Ben and Joy's home with you, or grab something useful for your own kitchen, business, or church group.

Please note: items will not be held or set aside for anyone. It's first come, first served on the day of the event, so come early for the best selection — and please bring your own help and vehicle to load and carry home whatever you find, as we won't be able to hold or deliver items after the event.

We won't be charging for any of it, but if you'd like to say thank you, we'll be accepting donations on-site, and every dollar will go to the Mt. Sterling Ohio Community Association (MSOCA), the local nonprofit working to bring more life to our downtown.

Another bit of history found at the historic Clock and Boyd building during clean up. Vendor License issued to Thomas Fullen and Rodger Hays. Anyone recognize the names or what establishment it may have been associated with?

***Equipment, freezers, tables, chairs, pots, plates, mugs, oven, display case, all now available! Picture have been added***

***Available to meet today between 3-5pm**

In the upcoming weeks we will be offering tables, chairs, freezers and one GIANT antique walk-in cooler for sale.

All were in use when the restaurant closed. All will require some cleaning.

***Update - Mr. Everhart was found! The items will be in the mail to him tomorrow!! Thanks to everyone who weighed in!!***

If anyone knows Mr. Tommy Everhart please let him know the crew cleaning up the 2nd and 3rd floors found a personal belonging of his! If you can prove you are THE Tommy Everhart we have your fishing license from 1985 and a few other items, the crew wants to make sure you get back!
