Happy Birthday to Maribel — one of our longest-standing baristas and truly the heart of Jo’s 💋☕️

Four years of showing up with hard work, selflessness, and the kind of presence that makes everyone feel at home. Maribel is the person you can always go to, the one who keeps us laughing, brings the spontaneity, and somehow always knows exactly when it’s time to lock in and make magic happen behind the bar.

WHAT A BLESSING these last few days have been. To all of our everyday goers—to our few days a weekers— to our at least once a week supporters, you have had an impact on many of us here at Jo’s. For us baristas who have been here for over 1 1/2 years, we have been able to make so many relationships with you over the time. From our older men group with their drip coffees, to our women who come and sit down for hours to chat & laugh, to the sisters Nik & Mo, and Drew who has his own Drew Brew. To our own handy woman who LOVES brown sugar and to the young adults who come and hang out. To the people who have made this job so special, you are a huge part of why we do what we do.

To the baristas, without you, we wouldn’t be able to function. Thank you for all that you have done.

Bistec, salsa verde, green spaghetti, sweet tea, dr. pepper, & mashed potatoes. New team sweatshirts, kind words, white elephant, & the hot seat. Good energy, 2025s most popular playlist, & laughter.

Merry Christmas from our team to yours🎅🏼🎄💫

For some of us, it’s our first and last Christmas in this building and for others, it’s our second, third, fourth, or fifth. To be able to end the year with a team that works hard, brings good energy, supports each other, & has fun— still while maintaining an adept environment is a blessing.
