Mark hasn’t taken any photos or videos the past few trips (apparently he was too busy fishing or something 🙄) so I am having to resort to embarrassing him into being better at photo taking by resurrecting this gem.

Now about the pic: Circa 1980something on the Miss Olive which he ran for a while. He was a baby fisherman with questionable grooming and fashion choices and he needs time be reminded of it every now and then!

🐟The boat is in🐟 We are open Friday and Saturday from 12-5!

And what a cool variety of fish we have this weekend!! Among the many different species Mark caught this trip we had a new one for us - an alfonsino or sea bream fish (pic #3). They usually occur a good bit deeper than where we fish. The two Mark caught can be enjoyed where I am sure they will be prepared in the most delicious manner!

Imposter Syndrome activated. After a quick trip to Long Island to talk to fishermen about the state of the mackerel fishery I made my way to DC for Capitol Hill Ocean week. I am honored (and not gonna lie -nervous) to be included on the panel of “Leaders at the Helm of Climate Ready Fisheries”. There is something so energizing about doing advocacy work for the future of commercial fishing and the sustainability of our fisheries - it almost cancels out the nerves of speaking in front of a thousand or so people. Wish me luck 🤞

The boat is in! We are open Saturday and Sunday from 12-6. These fish Mark just caught are just a small example of the diversity of our offshore reefs. Mother Nature is our crush 🥰

The boat is in! We will be open Saturday from 12-6 with fish from Mark’s catch.

When we write down our story as a commercial fishing family one day we will write about this trip. I can tell you Mark personally caught and gutted every. single. fish on this trip. You’ll have to ask him how his new crew member worked out.

It’s been a hot minute. Weather and the fishing gods have not been kind to us the past few weeks but Mark is finally back in with a decent haul and we will be open Saturday and Sunday from 12-6!!!

The photo dump includes some big vermilion snapper from this trip, Mark and I sorting and grading fish in the pouring rain yesterday and what an old salt does after a week at sea and 36 hours of no sleep. Sleeping fishermen are so cute 🥰

We haven’t been on here in a bit so I thought I would pop and let you know we’re still here 👋. As seen in the first picture weather has been rough and has required longer trips and more patience. We’ve been able to satisfy our CSF customers and a few restaurants but haven’t had a public retail day this month. Mark is leaving tonight and we hope to be open on Good Friday so stay tuned here for more info. Good luck to Mark 🤞🐟
