My dear Ollies family! I feel so blessed and grateful to say exciting times are ahead for our lil’ bakery, WE ARE MOVING to the SQUARE! 🥹🙏By mid-summer we will be at our new location at 112 N. Jefferson!
With a new building, so many exciting things are coming I can’t wait to tell you about, but I also want to talk about someone very special who was instrumental in our relocation.
Many of you know Linda Baker as a businesswoman. For years, I knew her as one of the familiar faces who walked through the doors of Ollie’s. Over the past several months, I’ve come to know her as the person entrusted with preserving the historic building that will soon become our new home at 112 N. Jefferson.
Restoring an old building is not glamorous work. It demands patience, persistence, faith, and a willingness to solve one problem after another. Through every challenge, Linda has remained committed to preserving a piece of Mount Pleasant’s history while ensuring it continues to serve future generations.
That commitment deserves recognition. Seriously.
What has impressed me most is not simply her vision for the building, but her conviction. Much like my mother, Linda leads with her faith. It is woven into the way she approaches her responsibilities, her relationships, and the decisions she makes. There is a steadiness to it that I deeply admire.
As we’ve prepared for this next chapter, my mom and I have often found ourselves reflecting on how many pieces had to fall into place for this opportunity to become reality. Looking back, it is hard not to see God’s hand in the timing.
Ollie’s began with a simple passion for baking and serving others. Because of your support, it has grown and continues to grow. To now become part of a building that has stood as a witness to generations of Mount Pleasant families feels both humbling and meaningful.
History is rarely made in grand gestures. More often, it is built by people who choose to invest in their community, care for what has been entrusted to them, and leave something better than they found it.
Linda is doing exactly that.
We are grateful that she has invited Ollie’s to become part of that story.
Thank you and with deep appreciation to everyone who has supported us over the past twelve years. We have many exciting details to share about our new space in the coming weeks, and we cannot wait to welcome you to 112 N. Jefferson.
The next chapter is almost here.
