Dear friends,
I take this day to answer many of your doubts and concerns.
Without a doubt, these sentences have been the most difficult that I have written, Boriken Restaurant was and always will be a blessing in my life, I sincerely thank each and every one of those who stepped on our restaurants; first at 40 Main St, where everyone together; clients, work team, and owner learned to forge Boriken from scratch, where by enjoying delicious Caribbean food the norm was broken and new friendships were created by sharing tables, where even beginning to take our first steps we were surprised by a pandemic and forced us to close our doors. What a journey ours!
Then at 4 O'Connell Ave, where we achieved as many goals as being able to offer you a much more comfortable space, a bar, an activity room, replicate the Caribbean atmosphere that we promised you from the beginning ... The place where we expanded, where we received direct visits from places so remote that I could not believe it! Where with the heat of a fireplace, the sound of a bachata and a piña colada in hand many enjoyed caribbean meals with their loved ones.
It was an honor to feel the support of locals who in an instant loved our food, of tourists who elevated us to be a 5-star restaurant in their reviews, of Puerto Ricans who even being 1,800 miles away from our home, instantly became family and supported our culture with pride.
Our great chapters of exciting and arduous adventure have come to an end. This story full of many feelings, many laughs, delicious and traditional dishes, so many important dates, many tears and hard work is written in the hearts of many, in mine it will surely be marked by my whole life.
Although I deprive myself of saying more, know that I gave you every ounce of me throughout this journey and that I am beyond grateful to have received much more than I could imagine from you. I love you very much and it is my greatest wish that Boriken Restaurant stays alive in your hearts. 2019-2023

Aprovecho este día para contestar a muchas de sus dudas y preocupaciones.
Sin duda alguna, estas oraciones han sido las más difíciles que se me han hecho escribir, Boriken Restaurant fue y siempre será una bendición en mi vida, les agradezco con toda sinceridad a todos y cada uno de los que pisaron nuestros restaurantes; primero en 40 Main St, donde juntos todos; clientes, equipo de trabajo, y dueña aprendimos a forjar a Boriken desde cero, donde por deleitarse de deliciosa comida caribeña se rompía la norma y se creaban nuevas amistades al compartir mesas, donde aun comenzando a dar nuestros primeros pasos nos sorprendió una pandemia y nos obligó a cerrar nuestras puertas. ¡Qué travesía la nuestra!
Luego en 4 O’Connell Ave, donde logramos tantas metas como poderles ofrecer un espacio mucho más cómodo, una barra, un salón de actividades, replicar el ambiente caribeño que desde el inicio les prometimos... el lugar donde crecimos, donde recibimos visitas directamente dirigidas desde lugares tan remotos que ni me lo podía creer! Donde con el calor de una chimenea, el sonido de una bachata y una piña colada en mano disfrutaban de comidas criollas junto a sus seres queridos.
Fue un honor sentir el apoyo de locales que en un instante amaron nuestra comida, de turistas que nos elevaron hasta ser un restaurante de 5 estrellas en sus reseñas, de boricuas que aun estando a 1,800 millas de distancia de nuestro hogar, instantáneamente se convirtieron en familia y apoyaron nuestra cultura con orgullo.
Nuestros grandes capítulos de excitante y ardua aventura han llegado a su fin. Esta historia llena de muchos sentimientos, de muchas risas, deliciosos y tradicionales platos, tantas fechas importantes, muchas lágrimas y arduo trabajo está escrita en los corazones de muchos, en el mío de seguro quedará marcada por toda mi vida.
Aunque me privo de decir más, sepan que les di cada onza de mi en toda esta trayectoria y que estoy más que agradecida por haber recibido mucho más de lo que me pude imaginar de parte de ustedes. Los amo mucho y es mi mayor deseo que Boriken Restaurant se mantenga vivo en sus corazones. 2019-2023
