When you get fresh figs and homegrown honey as a gift, you have to put them to good use! Introducing the “Summer’s End Peinirli”.☀️
With fresh mozz, Greek feta and marinated organic greens, that first bite is a perfect nod to the end of summer.
Our church community grandma (God rest her soul), had a fig tree and used to bring them to me and several others as gifts. Whenever I see fresh figs, they’re always a great reminder of her. 💙

It’s been an incredible year of catering so far, and last week I had the absolute honour of catering my youngest sister’s wedding shower. 💛🍋

We brought her Mediterranean lemon-inspired vision to life with a buffet to match—from Loukaniko, chicken souvlaki and grilled shrimp skewers to Greek salad, roasted lemon potatoes, a Greek charcuterie board, Greek pastries, and more. 🫒

Celebrating with our family and closest friends at our little community church in Belleville, Ontario made the day even more meaningful. There was something so special about looking around the room and seeing people we’ve known since we were babies, all coming together to celebrate Maria & Ramsey and shower them with love. And the best surprise was having my 90 & 91 year old grandmothers being there with us.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped decorate, grill, prep, serve, clean and make the day so beautiful. It truly takes a village, and we’re so grateful for our hometown Greek family. Congratulations, Maria & Ramsey—we can’t wait for the big fat Greek/Lebanese wedding! Καλά στέφανα! 💙🇬🇷🍋

Our little restaurant garden has finally started to produce enough to use in store! We use fresh grown herbs for garnish and dressings and can finally start using some veggies for salads. We always try to get organic when possible but nothing’s more organic than home grown. Just like Giagia used to do in the village. 🌿🥗🍅
