Our little restaurant garden has finally started to produce enough to use in store! We use fresh grown herbs for garnish and dressings and can finally start using some veggies for salads. We always try to get organic when possible but nothing’s more organic than home grown. Just like Giagia used to do in the village. 🌿🥗🍅

The biggest hero in my life was always my father. Usually wearing an apron, but somehow always dressed like he was headed to Sunday service. He was incredibly hardworking, yet he gave every extra minute he had to his family. Tough, but deeply affectionate. Serious, yet outgoing. And he had the most infectious laugh.

He raised a close-knit family of six children and showed each of us what genuine love and forgiveness truly meant. We could probably all say we were his favourite—but that was him. He had a way of making you feel like you were the only person in the room. I feel those memories come back when I watch my brothers be the best dads to their kids.

My dad always talked about opening a Greek restaurant. Who would have thought opening one in Mount Airy would bring so many incredible friendships, opportunities and a great team around me. To a great community: thank you for welcoming our Zito family with so much love and support. Our one year anniversary was incredible. I wish my dad was here to see how blessed his daughter is.

Happy Father’s Day to all the special heroes in our lives and thank you so much for supporting our little family business. 💙
