I felt like a mom trying to be brave when she is sending her child off to school for the first time.
"Ok....Have fun...." 😬
While inside, feeling nervous, wanting everything to go well, and for them to have a great day.
No, I wasn't sending my 5 yr old to school. I was saying goodbye to my 20 yr old son, who was going on a road trip with a couple of buddies to the Grand Teton National Park.
It is scary seeing them do scary things. 😬
On Tuesday, they were going on a long, difficult hike in the mountains. When I hadn't heard from him at 9pm and his location had been off for 6 hours, I started getting really nervous. Ok, scared. I was praying and asking God for protection for him and peace for me, when he texted and said that they had made it back to the car.
I was so relieved. I think God knew I needed to hear from him. 🥰
They drove 18 hours straight yesterday and made it back home at 5 am this morning. I can just say I rested a little better (or a lot better)when I heard them drive up.
It is hard having an adventurous, brave, world changer as a son. 😬😂

We pay our staff,
So tipping is optional...
But so, so appreciated!🥰

*100% of the tips go to our staff. Kyle and I don't participate in the tip share at all
*We split up the tips based on the hours they work and points they get for being on time, doing a good job, getting customer compliments, etc.

I think we need to have a sale on ice cream, so we can run out of one of our flavors... And then, we can replace it with...

Someone commented yesterday that it must be really hard to find good workers, especially in such a small town.
But do you know what?
We have actually been blessed with a GREAT group of people, who help us at the cafe. They ALL play an important role in keeping Cafe75 running.
Are we always perfect? No
Does everything always go as planned? No
But for the most part, everyone works hard and cares about doing a good job.
What more could we ask for? 😍
