Pop Zornes brought his family to the pacific northwest as migrant workers picking apples. His son Mel Zornes stayed in Moses Lake and opened a number of businesses over the years including Mel Tavern, Cascade Dine and Dance and the Basin Street Inn. Cascade Dine and Dance was turned into a Shakey's Pizza and in an effort to find a better product became Chico's Pizza Parlor. Chico's was a franchise

out of Portland Oregon and at its peak had California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Hawaii under its belt. Over time the founders decide to get out of the pizza business and so there are only three left, one in Lynwood California, one in Seaview Washington and Moses Lake Washington. We bought out our Chico's Pizza Parlor franchise to continue using the name and spices we use in our beef, sausage, sauce and dough recipe. The meats are ground locally with the spices we mix at Chico's. The Sauce is made at Chico's with our own spice recipe and marinated over night and our dough that we make daily is made here also. Unlike many others our freezer is the smallest refrigeration unit we have as it is only needed for a few items. Fresh Never Frozen. Made in a kitchen where you can see what happens to your food.
