Catered By Design's mission is to bring your events to life with sumptuous food and refreshing beverages presented in spectacular fashion. This also includes being a good steward of the environment. Our goal is to continually improve our sustainability practices by working closely with our vendors and partners to minimize the impact on the environment. Sam Gray, the President of Catered by design, started in his grandmother's kitchen as just a young kid, working up into Executive Chef positions at multiple restaurants and opening a few of his own, Sam has a lifetime of experience under his belt. Deciding to settle down over 17 years ago and began his journey with Catered by Design, he has built a loyal team to create and serve thousands of food & event seeking clients in Chicago and the greater area.

💘 We’re still thinking about Gabrielle and Josiah’s dreamy The Library at 190 South LaSalle | Chicago Venue wedding day! We adored each of the small details that made up their day from the cute coneflower-like table lamps to the gorgeous white and blue florals accented by the matching linens. Their custom menu featured complementary dishes such as our Wintry salad, Strawberry Cheesecake Tartlets, and Vanilla Panna Cotta ~ we hope everyone got to indulge and enjoy!

✨ We had a spectacular time catering the Citadel Theatre Company 12th Annual Fundraising Gala, Dance 830 last weekend! The extravagant gala was held at a private estate designed by the famous architect David Adler where guests could view the gorgeous grounds while indulging in our delicious offerings. From our popular Chicken Poblano hors d’oeuvres to our elegant stations, we hope each guest enjoyed and had a splendid evening raising money for the arts! 🎼

💗 Our first selection is The Collection Prosecco Extra Dry Rosé Millesimato which is featured on our Platinum Bar Service package, Tier Two W**e & B**r Tier Package, and our Sparkling W**e Bar. 🎃 On Saturday, November 7th, Sustainable Events Collective will be back to host another Pumpkin Smash Party! You’re invited along with your friends, family and neighbors to take your pumpkins from Halloween and smash ‘em up to compost them. Join us anytime from 11:30am-2:30pm at New Life Community Church in East Humboldt Park to partake in some smashing, hot beverages, and fun music!
