What a weekend! ☀️🍔

We had an incredible turnout thanks to the beautiful weather, and we just want to take a moment to thank everyone in the community for coming out and supporting Hometown Bar & Grill. It means more to us than you know!

Our food ticket times continue to improve, but we know there’s still room to get even better. If you see our staff, please take a moment to thank them—they’ve been working tirelessly to give you the best experience and flavors we know you’ll love.

We appreciate your patience and all the continued support. You all make this place what it is! ❤️

Cooks!
We’re currently looking to add 2 cooks to our team. We offer competitive pay, a free shift meal, and 50% off meals when you come in during your time off. For the right person, we’d even be open to discussing a potential partnership opportunity.

Another update from the team…

Once again, we learned a ton today. We’re continuing to adjust and work hard to improve our ticket times—but we’ll be honest, they were still WAY too slow today.

We truly appreciate each and every guest for your patience and understanding while we work through this. The support from this community has been incredible, and we don’t take that for granted.

We WILL crack this code and get our ticket times where they need to be.

To help improve service for everyone dining in, we will be turning off take out orders during peak hours (5pm-7pm) so we can better take care of our seated guests.

Thank you again for sticking with us—we’re committed to getting better every single day. 💪

Day 5… and we’re still pushing forward! 💪

We’ve definitely had our challenges, but we continue to grow, improve, and move ahead every single day. We can’t say it enough—THANK YOU to everyone for your continued support, patience, and encouragement. It truly means everything to us.

We’re now fully open and fully functioning, and it was great to see such a nice lunch crowd today! 🙌

Next up… the patio! The roof is going on now, and we’re just waiting on furniture. We can’t wait to open that space up and give everyone even more room to relax and enjoy.

Our cavalry has arrived! 🙌

A huge thank you to Precision Pipe Works and Porginski Excavating for showing up and getting right to work. Having professionals on-site who know exactly what they’re doing gives us a lot of confidence that we’ll be back up and running soon.

We’re incredibly grateful for the quick response and expertise—and of course, for all of YOU and your continued support and patience through all of this. ❤️

Stay tuned for updates… we’re getting closer and confidence we will be open tomorrow.

First and foremost—thank you. ❤️ We are beyond grateful for the continued support, patience, and kind messages from our community. It truly means everything to us.

We opened today, but quickly discovered issues that make it impossible for us to remain open at this time. We are now temporarily closed due to an issue that is completely out of our control.

The good news is professionals are on the way and should be here within the hour. We’re hopeful to be back open later today, but will definitely be ready to serve you again tomorrow.

We’ll keep you updated as we can. Thank you again for standing by us—we appreciate this community more than words can say and can’t wait to see you again soon! 🙌

Day two was even better! 🙌

We were able to cut our ticket times down by 5 minutes, and that’s a huge step forward for us. We’re learning, adjusting, and improving every single day.

Ro, Sergio, and I truly appreciate all the kind comments and the inspiration this community continues to show us. Your patience and understanding through these first few days has meant everything.

We’re committed to continuing to grow and get better for you—but we could use your help!

Our hometown soft opening was everything we hoped for and more—packed with energy, excitement, and an incredible crowd. We’ll be honest… it was a little exhausting and our wait times ran longer than we planned—but that just means we were blessed with more support than we could’ve imagined!

The best part? We’re already making adjustments and learning fast so we can serve you even better.

You’ll find everything from Loaded Nachos, Street Tacos, and Chimichangas to handcrafted smash burgers, wings with bold sauces like Mango Habanero & Garlic Parmesan, and unique bowls like our Southwest Bowl and Spicy Korean Bowl.
🍹 Plus, a full bar featuring our specialty— handcrafted margaritas you won’t want to miss!

Hometown Bar & Grill is coming to Morrow, Ohio, and we are just days—not weeks—away from opening!

This new spot is built by three partners who share a real passion for strengthening the community through great food, great service, and a place that feels welcoming to everyone. Veteran- and Latino-owned and operated, Hometown will feature Tex-Mex–style food, a full bar, and a modern mix of full service and self-serve technology, with dine-in, takeout, and delivery options.

Meet the partners:

• Rogelio (“Ro”) — From Guanajuato, Mexico, Ro worked his way up from dishwasher to skilled kitchen leader. He’s built his life around faith, family, and serving others. He and Bryan helped turn LakeHouse Grill into a hometown favorite—and now they’re bringing that same spirit to Morrow.

• Sergio Alberto Parra Mendoza — Raised between Arizona and Guanajuato with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility, Sergio rose quickly in restaurants from dishwasher to cook, then to manager in Ohio. He brings high standards, a servant’s heart, and a vision for building something lasting for his family and the community.

• Bryan — An Ohio-raised U.S. Army veteran with a long career in corporate IT (retired), Bryan has deep roots in family, faith, and community. His passion for hospitality comes from wanting to create a place where people can connect and truly feel at home.

This isn’t just a restaurant opening—it’s three owners bringing heart, hustle, and purpose to Morrow, creating a go-to gathering spot with bold Tex-Mex flavor and hometown hospitality.
