This week employee of the week is a shout out to none other than Tobey a.k.a. Felicia. Tobey has been with us coming up on eight years and is our front of the house manager. When she’s not serving you delicious food and making us laugh You can catch your rooting for the Raiders or cheering for the Dodgers. We are extremely grateful to have Tobey a part of our Carla’s family.

Yall know what day it is. This week employee of the week is none other than our very own Jeremy. Jeremy has been with our team for 3+ years, he is a staple to the restaurant and we are very blessed to have him. when Jeremy’not working hard for us, you can catch him hanging with Mickey Mouse or at the dodger game. Be sure join him for dinner at Bouns Tavola in SLO. we are so blessed to have Jeremy a part of our team.

In honor of his 36th Birthday this weeks featured employee is Javier. Javier has been with us for 11 years in our kitchen cooking along side his cousin Gustavo. Javier is our 2nd in command and we are blessed to have him thank you for all your hard work Javier!!!

This week’s featured employee is Gustavo our kitchen manager. Gustavo started working for us when he was 15 washing dishes and his dad was our kitchen manager. He worked his way through the ranks and has been running our kitchen for quite some time and putting out delicious food. Gustavo has worked for us for almost 16 years he is family and a phenomenal person were lucky to have him. Thank you, Gustavo for all your hard work.

Carla’s has decided to start a new tradition. Every week we will feature one of our hard-working employees and introduce you to them.
What a better way to start than with Miss Heidi. Heidi started working for our family September 1992. She is not only a dedicated employee but family to us. She can cook anything on the menu. She knows the ins and outs of the restaurant if you don’t catch her waiting on you a table she’s probably yelling at the Dodgers. We are so blessed to have had Heidi working for us for so many years. And part of our lives from baby showers to weddings and everything in between thank you Heidi for all your hard work.

For those of you who are new, let us introduce ourselves My name is Hayley and this is my mother Carla and we are the owners of Carla’s country kitchen. We have been family owned and operated for 38 years with an amazing group of staff. As Carla (nears retirement) in the next year or two I have taken over daily operations. For those of you who know and those who don’t know, Carla is currently serving as our mayor of Morro Bay. we are proud to be female owned as well as veteran owned.  we just wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves to all of our new followers and thank you all for all of your support. We would love to answer any questions anyone has and hope to see you in Carla’s soon.
