It saddens us that our beloved aunt, my dad’s sister, passed away earlier this afternoon. She was always a phone call away and being able to see her in person for the first time in 2018 was amazing. She’s been sick for quite some time now and we’ve supported her the best to our ability while she is in Laos. Rest Easy Aunt Chanla Thammavongsa.

With that being said, majority of our family will be traveling to Laos In June. However, we have remained open with a limited menu for all our guests until majority has returned. We hope you all understand this transition as we deal with this matter.

We normally don’t respond to negative reviews, but when we’re described as “not welcoming,” we do want to clarify.

Yin Dee is a self-service family owned business with a small team. Since around November 2025, we have also been takeout-only after 3PM, which is posted on our website and in-store signage.

Because our food is cooked fresh and prepared as ordered, wait times can happen especially during dinner rush. This applies to online orders, phone orders, and walk-ins.

There are also moments when we may temporarily pause online ordering if we’re at maximum capacity. This is only to ensure we can keep up with quality, accuracy, and a smooth experience for everyone.

We always welcome feedback and understand not every experience will be perfect. We just ask that reviews remain fair and respectful, because as a small family business, this is our livelihood and reviews directly impact our ability to stay open.

We truly appreciate all the support, patience, and love you’ve shown our family 🫶🤍

Yin Dee is built on immigrant cooking, immigrant hands, and family recipes passed down through generations. Our food, our story, and our livelihood exist because of immigrants. We are proud to be immigrant-owned and to represent Lao and Thai culture in our community.

We stand with immigrants, immigrant-owned businesses, and families who deserve dignity, safety, and respect. This space was created to share culture, food, and love—and we will always honor where we come from.
