💙 A little heads-up for this weekend...

Due to a few unexpected employee emergencies, we'll be operating with a very small crew this weekend—just two of us.

We'll be open and excited to serve you, but service may be a little slower than usual, and we may have to limit seating or temporarily pause new tables during our busiest times so we can take good care of everyone already here.

We know your time is valuable, so we'd rather be upfront than have you wondering what's going on. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for continuing to support our small, local restaurant. It truly means the world to us.

A little extra patience and a few smiles will go a long way this weekend—we promise we're giving it everything we've got!

We've been so busy serving customers (and celebrating family) that social media has taken a back seat.
Meanwhile... we've been quietly turning out some incredible cakes. If you haven't stopped by lately, you've been missing out! Here is a list of the most recent cakes:

German Chocolate
Most of these barely had time to sit in the display case before they were gone! That's the beauty of baking from scratch in small batches—when it's gone, it's gone.
Stop in for breakfast or lunch, and don't forget to peek at the dessert case. You never know what sweet surprise will be waiting for you!

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating milestone birthdays with four generations of our family. It was a weekend filled with laughter, memories, and time with the people I love most.

As we were wrapping up the weekend, something happened that truly touched my heart.

A gentleman stopped by Lynn's Whistle Stop while I was giving my mother and sister-in-law a tour of the café. He brought me this beautiful wooden truck, a piece that came from the original Little Log Store. He told my mother that I was his favorite owner and that he knew I was going to be here for a long time, which is why he wanted me to have it.

I was completely humbled by his generosity and his faith in me.

Running a small business can be an emotional roller coaster. Some days bring challenges, disappointments, and moments of self-doubt. Then there are days like this...days when someone reminds you why you do what you do and how much a community can mean.

This thoughtful gift and his kind words made my heart soar and were the perfect ending to a very special weekend.

Thank you all for supporting Lynn's Whistle Stop. We look forward to seeing you again tomorrow and for years to come. ❤️

Lynn's Whistle Stop will be closed Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21 while our family celebrates our "Zero Birthday Party!"

This year we're celebrating birthdays ending in zero:
80 • 60 • 40 • 10

It's not often four generations get to celebrate such special milestones together, so we're taking the weekend to enjoy this memorable occasion.
