Well our first rolling double is in the books. After a not so great performance in Smithton on Saturday and all the chaos just to make it to pacific for today, we redeemed ourselves a little going up against some of the best cooks in the Midwest.

Smithton

Chicken 17th
Ribs 13th
Pork 23rd
Brisket 16th
21st Overall

Congrats to The Burnt Crow on their GC and to our buddies Rock Star BBQ on RGC.

Finally made it to Pacific for the second leg of this rolling double. Trailers a little worse for wear. The electric jack decided to have a mind of its own and go down while traveling down the highway. Needless to say, after limping along dragging a jack, to the nearest town we found a plaza tire willing to trade help and tools for bbq. It’s now zip tied to the frame of the trailer until we can get home tomorrow and then get a new jack. It’s always an adventure.
