All answers are numbers and the closest one wins, but even if you're not the closest you can still win. Just guess who is actually closest and place your bets.

They were such a hit last week that Anais is making them again! ❤️

**Wits & Wagers • Friday at 6:30 PM**
It’s trivia, but you don’t have to be a trivia expert. Every answer is a number. Your team makes its best guess, then you get to see everyone else’s answers and wager on which one you think is closest. That means a good guess can be just as valuable as actually knowing the answer!

Teams can be any size, it’s free to play, and the winning team gets a $20 AntiquiTea House gift card.

Flights will be $2 off after 5 PM on Friday.

Bring your smart friends. Bring your guessing friends. You’ll probably need both. 😄 ☕

You know someone really likes their workplace when they come back to hang out on their day off. 😊

Trey is one of our baristas, but he’s also a student, and AntiquiTea House has become one of his study spots. He’s even been telling classmates that we’re a great place to study and to find gluten-free food.

That’s part of why we’re keeping the lights on a little later this fall. Tuesdays and Fridays we’re open until 8, giving you a few extra hours for studying, meeting a friend, playing a game, or just lingering over a hot drink.

Tonight there’s no event and nothing you need to sign up for. Just come in, find a table, and make yourself at home.

It’s the last day of summer, and we have a fun week ahead! ☕🍂

Tuesday: We’re open until 8 with no special event planned. Bring a friend, grab one of our games, study, read, or simply settle in for the evening.

We’ll also be at the Summit Chamber Music Series at the West Virginia Botanic Garden Tuesday evening. Music begins at 7, and we’ll have coffee, tea and a myriad of cookies waiting at intermission. 🎶🍪

Friday: Bring some friends for Wits & Wagers from 6:30–7:30! It’s trivia where every answer is a number, and you play as a team, so guessing together is half the fun.

Even better, all flights are $2 off Friday evening, including coffee flights, tea flights and introduction flights like the Milk & Honey Flight pictured today.

We’re open until 8 Friday, and you’re always welcome whether you play or not.

Before they could head south to visit his family, there was one important stop she needed to make.

Here. ❤️

She’s one of our regulars, but her husband lives in another state, so we hadn’t met him yet. Before they left town, she wanted to bring him in and introduce him to the people and the place that have become part of her life in Morgantown.

She told us AntiquiTea House is a safe place for her. A little steadiness. A reminder that the world is still good.

Those are words we don’t take lightly.

There’s something special about becoming part of someone’s routine and then, somewhere along the way, becoming a place they want to share with the people they love. We’re glad we finally got to meet him and be one of the stops on their weekend together.

And weekends have their familiar routines around here, too. Saturday means our French Toast Casserole is back in the case, along with plenty of coffee and tea for a slow Saturday morning.

Whether we see you every week or you’re walking through our door for the first time, we’re here until 5 today. Come sit awhile. ❤️☕

There’s something about sitting around a table.

The men in this picture probably never would have met anywhere else. Two are retired. One is a college professor and another is a young sports journalist. They came into AntiquiTea House as individual customers and, somewhere along the way, became friends.

Now they meet here and talk about theater, the economy, coffee or tea, life and whatever else comes up that day. Different ages, different backgrounds, plenty of different perspectives, and apparently no shortage of things to talk about.

The other picture takes me back to a very different table.

Today we have Gluten-Free Chocolate Espresso Cupcakes with Fudge Espresso Icing, a coffee-shop twist on my grandmother’s chocolate cake. When I was little, we would sit around her table and eat that cake together. She had hers with a cup of coffee. I had mine with a glass of milk.

I’ve changed the recipe a little over the years, but I suppose the important part hasn’t changed at all.

Good things happen when we sit around a table together.

Sometimes it’s chocolate cake with your grandmother. Sometimes it’s coffee with people who used to be strangers.

And sometimes it’s just catching up with a few friends on a Friday evening. We’re open until 8:00 tonight, and there’s a table waiting for you. ❤️☕

Matt was asked to model today’s Gluten-Free Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins.

Matt was not feeling particularly cooperative.
The muffins, however, understood the assignment. 🧁🍂

Pumpkin 🎃, warm autumn spices and chocolate chips make these a great grab-and-go breakfast or an afternoon treat with a cup of coffee.

Or go all in on fall and pair one with our Spiced Sycamore, our take on a pumpkin spice latte and part of our September collection inspired by West Virginia native trees. Get it hot if you’re ready to pretend it’s sweater weather, or iced if you’ve checked the actual temperature outside. ☕️🍁

Either way, the muffins are ready for their close-up. Matt may require further training.

There are certain aromas that tell you autumn is coming before the trees ever do. 🍂

Cinnamon. Warm bread. Maple. Chai spices and coffee brewing.

The kitchen is smelling especially good this morning because we made Cinnamon Love Knots. They’re similar to our traditional Cinnamon Scrolls, but we’ve heard from some of you that a whole scroll is sometimes just a little too much. The Love Knots are their smaller cousin. Just enough cinnamon goodness to go beautifully with a London Fog or Fire Maple Latte.

Our Fire Maple is part of our fall collection inspired by West Virginia native trees, with spiced maple syrup, whipped cream, cinnamon and little leaf sprinkles on top. 🍁 And yes, you can order it hot or iced because apparently autumn smells have arrived before autumn temperatures.

Tonight we’re open until 8 PM, with Silent Book Club from 6–8. Bring whatever you’re reading and join the group, or just come for coffee, studying, conversation, chess or a quiet evening away from home.

And tomorrow, look for us at the hospital Farmers Market from 11 AM–2 PM!
