One of our biggest goals with Crumb & Culture Mercantile was to create a space where our own sourdough goods could sit alongside products from other amazing small businesses, makers, and creators.. and seeing all of these brands come together on one trailer is seriously so cool!

Today gave us the answer we’ve been waiting for. 🤎🌿

For WEEKS, we’ve been talking about Crumb & Culture Mercantile… but today was the first time people actually got to walk up, see it, shop it, and understand what we’ve been building.

And the reaction has been SO much better than we could’ve hoped. All day we’ve heard “Oh my gosh, this is so cool,” “This is beautiful,” and “I love this idea.”

And THAT is exactly what we wanted.

Crumb & Culture is still our bakery, but now we’re also a mobile Mercantile! A curated shop filled with our baked goods, drinks, local products, niche finds, and products from other small businesses we want to help get in front of more people.

Come for sourdough and leave with coffee, beef jerky, perfume oil, local goods, or something you didn’t even know you needed. 😂

That’s the Mercantile. And today, people really took to it.

We’re nearly sold out of baked goods, down to just a few scones, and only have 15 Controlled Chaos canned lattes left, and the event isn’t even over yet!

We even got a message this morning from someone who spotted the trailer going down the highway, looked us up on Instagram, and reached out just to wish us a good day. Little moments like that make this whole thing feel so real. 🥹

And we have to give a huge thank you to Vince with Sellyoursoulrecordsnc, because we truly wouldn’t have had this soft opening today without him giving us the opportunity to come out and be part of his event.

And the best part?
This still isn’t the finished version. 👀

We have more products coming, a few more additions to make, and even more we want to bring into the trailer before our OFFICIAL GRAND OPENING this Saturday, September 26 at the 🍂 Wellesley Fall Vendor Event & Multi-Neighborhood Garage Sale 🍂

🤩 SURPRISE!! WE’RE TAKING THE TRAILER TO GASTONIA! 🎶

Before our official grand opening next weekend, we’re giving everyone a first look at the brand new Crumb & Culture Mercantile trailer with a special soft opening at the Carolina Sound: Record and Guitar Expo this Sunday!

📅 Sunday, September 20th
⏰ 10am–4pm
📍 Gastonia Convention Center
145 Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Way, Gastonia, NC

Our trailer will be set up outside the convention center, so you can stop by while you’re waiting in line, after shopping inside, or anytime throughout the event!

We’ll be stocked with plenty of easy grab & go favorites, including cinnamon rolls, danishes, scones, cookies, coffee cakes, apple fritter focaccia, and a curated selection of products from our incredible local partners! 👏

☕️ We’ll also have a fridge stocked with canned lattes from our friends at Controlled Chaos Coffee ! The perfect drink to grab alongside one of our baked goods!

Come shop more than 90 vendor tables featuring vinyl, CDs, cassettes, music memorabilia, custom goods, and more!

✨ IT’S OFFICIAL: CRUMB & CULTURE MERCANTILE IS HERE! ✨

The secret is finally out! Crumb & Culture is growing into Crumb & Culture Mercantile: Sourdough, Local Goods & Curated Finds. 🤎🌿

Seeing our new branding on the trailer makes this next chapter feel so real, and we could not have brought everything together without the amazing businesses that helped us complete it!

A huge thank you to Velocity Designs for bringing our new branding to life on the trailer and to Finish Line Fabrication for building and installing our custom generator cage! You both absolutely knocked it out of the park and helped turn our vision into reality!

We are so excited to confirm that Crumb & Culture Mercantile will officially debut September 26 at the 🍂 Wellesley Fall Vendor Event & Multi-Neighborhood Garage Sale 🍂! 🎉

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing even more exciting announcements… including new partnerships, collaborations and some of the incredible local goods that will be available on the trailer as we work toward the grand opening of Crumb & Culture Mercantile!

For now, preorders and pickups for this week and next week are continuing exactly as planned. Nothing about your existing orders or pickup dates has changed!

Our Fall Menu rollout is officially complete! We started with the cookies, added the pastries, and now we’re bringing in the heart of Crumb & Culture! The sourdough. 🤎

🎃 Pumpkin Swirl: A cozy fall loaf swirled with sweet pumpkin and warm seasonal spices.

👀 20 DAYS. AND THINGS ARE ABOUT TO LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT AROUND HERE.

If you’ve seen our stories, you may have noticed we took a little road trip this week… and came home with something pretty big. 🤭

Meet the newest addition to Crumb & Culture. 🤎

Right now it may just look like a trailer… but we have some BIG plans for what it’s going to become.

Over the last several months, we’ve been thinking a lot about what the future of Crumb & Culture looks like. Somewhere along the way, we realized our vision has grown into something much bigger than just sourdough…

We want to create something that brings together sourdough, local goods, curated finds, other small businesses, makers, and the community that has supported us from the beginning.

And this trailer is going to be a BIG part of making that happen!

So… why 20 days? 👀

Because if everything continues coming together the way we have planned, we’re hoping to have this transformation complete and debut it for the very first time on September 26th at the Wellesley Fall Vendor Event & Multi-Neighborhood Garage Sale! 🍂🎉

That means we have 20 days to take what you see right now and turn it into something completely different, and we want to bring y’all along for the entire journey.

Over the next few weeks, keep an eye on our Stories. We’ll be sharing the progress, the behind the scenes chaos, little sneak peeks, upgrades, and plenty of moments along the way as we get it ready!

Potrillos FreshMex in Mooresville, NC 🌮

This one has been LONG overdue. 😂🤎
We have quite literally been going to Potrillo’s Fresh Mex Express since day one. We went for their grand opening, fell in love with the place, and somehow that turned into us being there basically every week since. 😂 At this point, if we’re trying to figure out what we want for dinner, there’s a pretty good chance Potrillo’s is going to come up.

And there’s a reason we keep going back!
The food is SO good, the portions are amazing, everything always tastes fresh, and there are so many ways to build exactly what you want. Bowls, burritos, tacos.. we’ve tried our fair share at this point and they seriously do not miss. 👏

But one of the biggest things for us has been the people behind it. Every single time we go in, we’re greeted with the same kindness and welcoming atmosphere we got when they first opened. Watching another local business open its doors and continue building something people genuinely love is exactly the kind of thing we want to support.

And YES, that purple drink pictured deserves its own mention because their hibiscus agua fresca is ridiculously good! 🤯💜
