Richard's Coffee Shop is a living military museum dedicated to honoring America's veterans, active duty personnel and emergency services personnel. The veterans who visit the shop played a part in the history of the artifacts and memorabilia displayed in the museum. There are two special events that happen each week;

1 - Thursdays is a day for veterans to come and get together and enjoy each others company and a free coffee.

2 - Saturdays we have a Music Jam session which anyone is welcome to come in and either play or have a cup of coffee and enjoy the music. Everyone that comes into the coffee shop learns the history of a man named Richard Warren, who started the shop in 1995. Volunteers and a nonprofit Board of Directors are continuing his legacy by providing a place for all to gather as well as assisting veterans and their families in many ways. The coffee shop, museum, and gift shop are open Mondays - Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Mooresville's 9/11 Ceremony Video: Twenty-five years later, Mooresville gathered to remember.
The ceremony included prayer, music, tributes to those lost and an unforgettable message from Bob Hogan, who survived September 11 from the 81st floor of One World Trade Center.

Tomorrow, We Remember.

As the 25th anniversary of September 11 approaches, the Town of Mooresville, Mooresville/Lake Norman Exchange Club and Richard’s Coffee Shop invite the community to come together for a morning of remembrance and reflection.

8 a.m. — Gathering at Richard’s Coffee Shop
8:46 a.m. — Silent Remembrance Walk to Liberty Park
9 a.m. — 25th Anniversary Memorial Ceremony at Liberty Park

The ceremony will include remarks from Assistant Special Agent in Charge Kevin Swanson and Bob Hogan, President & CEO of Clermont Trust USA, LLC, along with a performance by Anthony Kearns of The Irish Tenors.

Following the ceremony, the community is invited back to Richard’s Coffee Shop for brunch.

Please join us tomorrow, September 11, as the Mooresville community comes together to remember those we lost, honor those who served and reflect on the lasting impact of September 11, 2001.
