Monday, September 14th & Tuesday, September 15th
Reason for Closure: Routine Fall Green Aeration

This closure applies to ALL practice and play areas, including:
The Main Golf Course
The Driving Range
The Chipping Area

Last ladies clinic of the summer!!

Registration is officially open at Black Canyon Golf Course. ⛳️

We’re offering one more 5-week session this summer, designed for women who want to learn, build confidence, and enjoy the game in a supportive environment.
Taught by Eric Feely, PGA and Katie Burgoyne.

Each session runs 4:30–5:45 PM and is $180 per person.

August 24, 31, September 7, 14, 21

Limit of 12 players per clinic. Payment must be made in full to reserve your spot. Payment can be made at the Pro Shop (check) or via Venmo/Paypal.

This is a beginner-friendly clinic covering all aspects of the game, including fundamentals, rules, and etiquette. Don’t have clubs? No problem — just let us know when you sign up.

Black Canyon Classic is Back!

The Classic is Sponsored by NextHome Virtual, a two-day Stroke Play event with Optional Skins Game each day, 100% Handicap, Flighted play, must have active GHIN to enter. Choose from three Divisions: Men’s, Women’s, and Senior Men (60+).

Pro Tip of the Week: Focus on Contact, Not Distance

Many golfers try to swing harder in search of more distance, but that often leads to inconsistent strikes and poor results. The truth is, distance comes from solid contact — not extra effort.

When you strike the ball cleanly, the club does the work for you.

✨ Try this: On the range, swing at a controlled pace and focus on hitting the center of the clubface. You’ll likely see both your consistency and distance improve.

Pro Tip of the Week: Keep Your Head Behind the Ball

Forward head movement is a common cause of inconsistent ball striking. When your head moves past the ball too early, it changes your low point and reduces your ability to compress the shot.

Maintaining your head position slightly behind the ball encourages a better strike and more reliable launch conditions.

Try this: During practice swings, focus on keeping your head steady and slightly behind the ball through impact before allowing your body to fully rotate.
