Capitol Grounds Cafe is a place where coffee lovers, conversationalists, poets, politicians and visitors both near and far gather. We are located in downtown Montpelier, Vermont: nation's smallest state capital, only capital city without a McDonalds, "City of Bridges", all-in-all a very interesting place to live or visit. Capitol Grounds opened in 1998 when two like-minded, approaching middle age
guys decided that the city needed a place where people could meet and enjoy great coffee and conversation. The business includes the cafe on State Street in the heart of Montpelier, and the roastery where coffees from around the world are roasted up and delivered fresh to the cafe and several retail outlets in Central and Northern Vermont.
