La Bonne Crepe

La Bonne Crepe MHS French students are fundraising for an educational trip to Guadeloupe with a Brittany cuisine inspired crepe cart.

The cart runs most Saturdays at the Montpelier Farmers Market through October, and includes seasonal flavors. The cart is owned by Brigitte Savard, French teacher at MHS, and managed by a small team of dedicated students. To make the April 2023 trip affordable to every French student, each traveling student takes shifts at the cart to contribute to the collective fundraising effort. Sharing the wo

rk equally creates accessibility for everyone. The trip itself will be an immersive learning opportunity, and a unique chance to practice communicating in French, and experiencing Guadeloupean culture. La Bonne Crepe cart is not only the main fundraiser behind the trip, but is also part of a Personalized Learning Study for MHS students. Alara Kohn, Ava Hollingsworth, Izzy Jackson, Maria Lovelette, Meg Voisin, Noah Samuelson, and Scarlett Davis helped launch the business, and will continue to run it through the next school year. The students are divided into rotating scopes that consist of accounting, marketing and media, human resources, and art and menu design. The operation helps strengthen problem solving skills, advanced communication, and creates hands-on management knowledge. The MHS French students have dedicated themselves to creating a delicious and entertaining experience for everyone in the Montpelier area, and look forward to seeing community members come and support their travel ambitions! Patrons looking to support should visit 133 State Street Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

This Friday and Saturday, La Bonne Crêpe will be serving sweet and savory crêpes at Enchanted Forest in Hubbard Park 🌲🕯️. Don't have a ticket? No problem, all are welcome to stop by and grab a crêpe. Try our signature ham and cheese, mushroom and caramelized onions, or seasonal sugary flavors. Hot drinks and sweets will also be available ☕🎃.

As always, all profits will go to the MHS travel fund. This will be your last chance of the year to support our student-run business and fundraiser, so make sure to show up!

We are starting to envision ourselves in Guadeloupe! ⛱🌴 And we couldn't have done it without our amazing supporters. Each customer has helped us move closer to our class trip fundraising goal.

A special thanks to MRPS PIE, the non-profit parent group that helped us get started with a generous investment. This allowed our students to learn about business management and responsibility, and will set up future classes for success!
