Hold onto your bibs and loosen your sweatpants, folks, because Tuesday night at the diner is about to get wild. If these specials were a reality show, it’d be called The Real Housewives of the Deep South: Carb Overload Edition.
🐖 The Heavy Hitters (Main Events)
Roasted Pork Loin: For when you want to feel fancy, like you're attending a Renaissance faire, but you're actually sitting in a vinyl booth under flickering fluorescent lights.
Cuban Sub: The official sandwich of trying to pack an entire Miami vacation into a single bite while dropping pork all down the front of your shirt.
Country Fried Steak: Also known as "Shrouded Mystery Meat." Is it beef? Is it cow? Who cares, it’s submerged in white gravy, which legally counts as its own food group in three states.
Chili Dogs: The ultimate culinary gamble. Delicious going down, a regretful life choice at 3:00 AM. Wear dark colors.
🥘 The Side Show (Carbageddon)
Squash Casserole: Proof that Southerners can take a perfectly healthy vegetable and baptize it in enough cheese, butter, and crushed Ritz crackers to feed a small village.
Cornbread Dressing: Thanksgiving called, and it wants its favorite child back. Nobody questions why this is served in August, and frankly, you shouldn't either.
Black-Eyed Peas: Eat these for good luck and prosperity, or just eat them because they're sitting next to the cornbread and resistance is futile.
Sweet Corn: Freshly harvested corn soaked in butter so rich it should probably pay taxes.
Cabbage: The vegetable equivalent of a designated driver. It’s here to try and balance out the 4,000 calories of cheese and butter you just ingested, though it doesn't stand a chance.
