There are many different celebrations we have the privilege of catering. Baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthdays, and so many other milestones.
But there is something especially meaningful about being trusted to host a celebration of life.
When that person was also someone we had the pleasure of knowing, it makes the honor even more personal. Over the years, we get to know families, celebrate their milestones, and become a small part of their lives. To then be trusted to welcome their family and friends during one of their most difficult moments is a gift we will always be grateful for.
Today, we had the honor of celebrating the life of Betsey Comizio.
I remember Mrs. Comizio as the friendly grandma we would see years ago when we were picking up at daycare. It was truly special to see her family again today and to be entrusted by the Comizio sisters to welcome their loved ones as they gathered to remember and celebrate Betsey’s life.
We are grateful to the Comizio family for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful day.
In Betsey’s memory, the family is raising funds for a memorial bench at the Orange County Arboretum — a beautiful place where her memory can live on and where friends, family, and the community can visit for years to come.
