It’s August in Montevallo… and that means our students are coming HOME! 🥹

Friday, August 21st will be the first Friday of the new school year for students to experience the 600 Block Party on Main Street, and we’re turning it into one BIG Welcome Home celebration!

From 5–11 PM, we’re inviting University of Montevallo students, longtime residents, families, friends, and neighbors to come together and enjoy the downtown that makes our little city so special.

🌙 Same Moon, New Hours — and a BIG first week back! 🌙

The students are back, classes are starting, and Main Street is waking back up in the best way. 💛

Here’s what’s happening at Meri Moon this week:

🎲 Tuesday | 3–5 PM
The Mellow MeriMen (50+) are getting together for Yahtzee! We’ll also have voter registration cards available for anyone who needs one.

🧠 Wednesday | 5–8 PM
Our FIRST Trivia Night at the Moon! Grab your people, come hungry, and see how much random knowledge you actually have stored in that brain. 😂

🎉 Friday Night | Welcome Home Party
We’re celebrating our students being HOME and kicking off another semester the Montevallo way — together, downtown, and with plenty going on all along Main Street.

New school year. New hours. New things happening at the Moon. 🌙
