Every Day is Ice Cream Day in Monterey. Our order just arrived with lots of favorite flavors and a few new things we are trying. Yes, we got the memo: Butterscotch Bomb and Stellar Coffee are in the regular rotation. And look for Instagram to be backing the display case soon! Delicious sandwiches, soups & salads plus ice cream treats in the Soda Shop, but we're also making progress on the next phase of bringing the old Walker Service Station back to life. Thanks to a Downtown Improvement Grant from the Town of Monterey, TN we are installing new windows, and a Chestnut Street entry door. We also have new siding coming for the back and west-facing wall of the building (so we will look nice from the Monterey Depot Museum side). After that, we will start working on the inside. Slow and steady wins the race. Thanks so much to everyone in our community for their support, and to the DIG committee for approving our project. It's a tremendous blessing.
