In 1968, Ted Balestreri and Bert Cutino took a bold leap and opened The Sardine Factory at a time when Cannery Row was in severe decline. Through sheer passion and vision, they single-handedly sparked the revitalization of the entire area, transforming Cannery Row into the world-renowned destination it is today. The best and only restaurant I'd recommend near Cannery Row. Our server Pedro was so amazing and we had a great dining experience thanks to him! We had the seafood pasta, ribeye, calamari, abalone bisque, clam chowder and cheese toast - all delicious and recommended! The ribeye was cooked perfectly and the char on it was so good. One of the best steaks I've had. They also had great happy hour selection and a huge wine list. Must try!
