We wanted to make sure the Spanish National Team received a proper Montclair welcome, so we put together a little Paper Plane care package for the players while they stayed at the The MC Hotel, Autograph Collection

Now, just a few days later, we get to congratulate them as the 2026 FIFA World Cup Champions.

Ok, ok, hear us out, again, we’re not saying the coffee won the World Cup… but we’re also not in a position to rule it out. 😅😅😅

Congratulations to the entire Spanish National Team, and thank you for letting our little corner of Montclair be a small part of your World Cup journey.

English Translation of the Note:

WELCOME TO MONTCLAIR.

It is a true honor to have the Spanish National Team here in our town as you prepare to compete in the World Cup Final against Argentina.

We are Paper Plane Coffee Co., a Colombian-American, family-owned coffee roaster and café based right here in Montclair. We believe a great cup of coffee has the power to bring people together, tell stories, and make anyone feel at home. Every coffee we roast is the result of generations of coffee-growing families and the care we put into every detail.

Please accept this small gift as a warm welcome from all of us and a little piece of our home.

We wish you the very best in the final. We hope you enjoy your time in Montclair and have an unforgettable match.

With gratitude,

Paper Plane Coffee Co.
Montclair, New Jersey

Behold... the Colombian street hot dog.

You thought a hot dog was just a hot dog? That's adorable.

In Colombia we looked at a perfectly reasonable hot dog and collectively said, "Yeah... but what if we kept going?"

Potato sticks? Absolutely.
Pineapple sauce? Obviously.
Pink sauce? Of course.
Enough toppings to require structural engineering? You better believe it.

It's less of a hot dog and more of a delicious life decision with no exit strategy.

Welcome to Colombia. We don't do moderation.

Don’t talk to me right now. I’ve got a date with vampires, coffee, and books.

Our Lost Boys: Eternal Midnight blend and cold brew have officially found a new haunt at The Drama Book Shop in NYC. Grab a bag, browse a script, pretend you’re researching, and accidentally leave three hours later.

Get them while they last.

This is the Chiva Colombiana.

For generations, these brightly painted buses have carried people, coffee, produce, luggage, chickens, the occasional goat, and somehow an entire family up and down the mountains of Colombia.

Basically, it was Uber for the Andes, except your driver may have also been transporting six sacks of potatoes and a live rooster.

If it fit, it rode. If it didn’t fit, it went on the roof.

Loud, colorful, chaotic, and deeply Colombian, the Chiva always got the job done.

Ours just happens to serve coffee.

We know. It’s July’s Passport… in the middle of July.

In our defense, we’ve been just a little preoccupied.

But good coffee doesn’t care what day it is.

This month we’re headed to Huabal, Cajamarca, Peru, where Gilmer Cordova is producing one of our favorite coffees of the year. It’s a natural-process Caturra with notes of white strawberry, cherry blossom, and macadamia, and exactly the kind of farm-specific microlot the Passport Program was built for.

Better 15 days late than never. (That’s what we’re telling ourselves, anyway.)

Child labor? No.

Family apprenticeship? Absolutely.

Just a fifth generation Colombian coffee grower showing the sixth generation how it’s done. The Gringa-lombians are officially in training.

This weekend we’re pulling double duty at Maplewoodstock.

You’ll find us in two spots:

At The Terminal (in front of Nelson’s), we’ll be serving our full menu plus our festival specials: Strawberry Fields and the Mia Wallace.

Inside the Maplewoodstock vendor court, we’ll be keeping things cool with an all iced menu featuring lattes, cold brew, hibiscus berry iced tea, and our festival exclusive, the Polychrome.

Whether you’re stopping by between sets or just wandering the festival, come grab a drink, say hello, and enjoy a great weekend of music. See you at Maplewoodstock.

We’re back in Maplewood this weekend for Maplewoodstock.

We’ll be set up both Saturday and Sunday with coffee, cold brew, espresso drinks, and more. You can find us right in front of The Terminal and inside the vendor court throughout the festival.

If you’re heading over for the music, stop by and say hello. We loved meeting so many new faces last weekend and are looking forward to another great weekend in Maplewood.

See you this weekend.
