Beyond blessed !
You came and kept coming and coming. We are at a loss for words to describe what we feel. The friends we saw ! The gifts , the cards , the messages, and the big hugs. So many others that I didn’t have the opportunity to ask for a picture. Even a beautiful chocolate cake that was made specially for us( thank you Mrs Frankie Radford❤️) I had to step away several times because I couldn’t stop crying. And when I was about to turn off the lights for the last time my Robert just let me sit in that empty restaurant and have a good long cry.
I’m gonna miss each and every one of you.
I can’t even sleep…. I’m just feeling too much

More friends came to see us for lunch at Irene’s Cocina. Today I cried as I told my friend Doc that we wouldn’t have chosen ANY other place to have to little restaurant. This is where people come to eat but it’s where they come to feel connected. We know these families and about their lives. And they want to know about our family and our lives. We hear funny stories. We see people take off their hats to pray. And we hear when they offer prayers to the hands that prepared their meal. This might be a little hole in the wall restaurant but to me it’s been SO much more. I’m gonna miss these beautiful faces and I’m gonna miss hearing all about their families.

🚨🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨🚨🚨
After much discussion and prayers, Robert and I have decided to close our restaurant. We are in a different season in our lives and it’s time. I have not been able to stay open consistently and have a lot of things going on. We have been blessed with your sweet friendships. Our family will be forever grateful.
Our last day will be next Friday , June 23rd.
Please come see us next week. I will be wanting to see you and I’m gonna needs lots of hugs.
