On the first Thursday of the month,
We watched the weather all week long.
Rain? No rain? Thunder too?
Would the Market happen? What would we do?
Would we huddle beneath our tents,
While soggy shoppers hurried hence?
Would folks dash by, heads tucked down,
Dodging raindrops all through town?
Or would the clouds politely part,
And give us a break at the city park?
We checked the radar. Then checked once more.
Then probably checked it twenty times more.
